Hi guys, I've just bought myself my first vaporiser kit off ebay (still yet to try it) which comes with a totally wicked tornado RCS atomiser and a kamry X6 1300mah variable voltage battery,
I put the battery to charge using the supplied usb charger, the charger light went red and then after about half hour it changed to green which I assume is charged ok.

I've watched a couple of youtube videos on how to operate the battery with the 5 click method but I think there is a problem with mine.

I give it 5 clicks and the little led turns red and then goes red every time I press the buttom which I think is correct, press another five times and the light changes to purple....but now when I press the button it doesn't light up at all......and pressing 5 more clicks the led won't go to blue....so I'm thinking it is only working on the red setting.

I hope that makes sense?

This is done without the atomiser attached, so not sure if that makes a difference or not?...I'm still waiting to hear back off the ebay seller.

Any info greatly appreciated :)

Is it one of those batteries where you can have 3 power settings?

It WAS 3 rapid clicks last time I saw one. (but I'm not that good with items I have only tried, not used). :)

How are you going to get replacement heads for your RCS, they were discontinued months ago and shouldn't be on sale now?

Hi yeah, it's meant to have a 3.6v, 3.8v and a 4.2v setting.

This is a 5 click model.

I just checked the totally wicked website and they're still selling the replacement coils?? (I assume by "heads" you mean coils?)

hmmm, I just put the battery on charge again (although it still hasn't been used) and after a few minutes the charging light turned to green so I disconnected it from the charger to try it again and this time the red and purple seemed to functioning properly but still not blue light.......a few cycle of the buttons later and then the blue light appeared and seems to be functioning.

???

Watch this space.

What's up, I'm still kind of a noob in the vaping world, lol.. I started with the eGo battery and a simple tank. Upgraded mine a few months ago with the eVod tank. A month ago I went into my local vape store and picked up the kamry X6 1300mah and the KangerTech Protank 3!!

Your right though, 5 clicks --> red ... 5 clicks --> purple ... 5 clicks --> blue.. And I change settings WITH the tank on. I believe it has something to do with the battery not sensing the atomizer so it shuts off at purple. Put the tank on and try changing the settings with 5 clicks!!!

Hope I helped ya!!!

Thanks mate, but it seems to be cycling through the different voltages fine now even without the tank fitted.

a link to the item on ebay might be helpfull

I did try to add a link in the first post but the forum wouldn't let me??
search ebay uk for item number 331242427239

Yes, I mean coils. I thought you had bought the "old" RCS tank, they one made by ismoka/eleaf. What do you think you have?

I'm not sure, if you search the number above maybe you can tell me lol.

I'm pretty sure the x6 is 5 click on off, 3 click to change voltage.

I think it's 5 for all.

marcus... I found what you bought... I'd worked it out yesterday t.b.h.

Yes, as I thought, it's an "old" TW RCS tank. This might work in your favour though as TW were charging stupid money for the replacement heads. Whoever sold it to you is bang out of order though...

Tornado RCS, Silver With Yellow Tank - Normally Retails @ £14.99 each
Tornado is the name given to a range of products known for their ease of use, performance, durability, quality and value for money.
This device delivers on all of these and proudly bears the Tornado name.
This is the big brother of the family, which holds 3.5ml of fluid in a beautifully crafted alloy tank with a translucent chamber

All that is rubbish.

They aren't even sold anymore. (except on ebay)

They were a decent clearomiser, often used by TW shop staff instead of the terrible "tank system" which is/was dire.

IF you can get replacement heads, it could work out for you.

You should get used to the vapour.... keep it turned down while you get used to it. Inhale into your mouth before breathing in.

Even the crappest e-cig from the market will hit the throat of an inexperienced user, if they inhale direct to the lungs.

Thanks, I suppose it is what it is now that I have it (it did come with two spare coils).
Do you recommend I change in time to the clearomiser you posted? will that one be cheaper for replacement coils?

Thanks. Funnily enough after using it a few times now I'm starting to (slowly) like the flavour and I'm not finding it too harsh now ??

I have noticed so far that if I have a just a couple of puffs and then put it down and do the same 5-10mins later it is quite harsh, but if I have several puffs within a minute or two it can be quite smooth.....is this just the way they are?
cheers.

It all depends on what you like. The harshness of the juice can be controlled by the percentage of pg and vg. Pg is usually responsible for the throat hit and can be harsh to some users. You might consider lowering your pg levels in your juice and increase your vg. Something like a 80 vg 20 pg and see if you like that. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

The replacement coils from totally wicked themselves are £5 for 2.
I've just had a quick look on ebay and there is a seller doing replacement coils for the tornado at £7.50 for 5 or £12.50 for 10 so that doesn't sound too bad. ebay item number 151302992206

(I don't why I'm not allowed to post ebay links??)

Logic is sometimes hard to come by with e-cigs. Many folk puff 10-15 times (or so) to mimic smoking a real cig, others take less puffs one after the other (like 5-10), but more often. Harshness shouldn't really change, unless your wick dries out, then it's just horrible. (a "dry hit")

In relation to a different clearomiser, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the eleaf/ismoka one. I was linking to it, as it's possibly the same one as your ebay vendor sold you, more or less.

There are hundreds of different types these days. If you look here, you'll see all sorts from mini to enormous.

Clearomizers

What matters *to me* is that a) it's not leaky and b) the replacement heads are a fair price. I am not impressed with Totally Wicked, because (for example) when they were selling the type you have, the replacements were £2.99. I pay £1.20 for mine (if I buy them). 2 a week or something over long period and the price makes quite a difference.

The newer dual coil heads like on this should last longer than single.

Protank 3 V2 Dual Coil Clearomiser - Clearomizers

None of them are perfect. I rebuild the heads myself, which saves the £1.20 and also helps with leaking.

Great! That sounds good.

Totally W have reduced them to £2.50 (which is still too expensive i.m.o) and the actually tank is nowhere to be seen.

If you can buy 10 for £12.50, that is superb!! (As long as you like the tank....)

ebay links may well be not allowed on here. I don't buy off ebay anyway, as e-cigs are actually banned, ebay just ignore their own rules. However, should you take out a dispute over a product, ebay could remove the seller (they do this quite often) and then you'll never see your money again.

Would I buy replacement heads? Sure I would... far cheaper off ebay. Then again, Totally Wicked products shouldn't be on there full stop.
a) ecigs are not allowed b) totally wicked themselves would never sell on ebay c) plenty of TW products have "found their way" onto ebay (thousands of items were stolen too).

If you ask on AAEC-UK, the answer will be not to buy off ebay. However, you've got a good e-cig, you need heads... why pay TW prices?

:)

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks. I think the tank I have is a genuine TW as it cam in a TW box and has their logo on the side of unit itself, but yeah I can't see it on their website to compare.

So far there are no signs of leaks, even at the base where it touches the battery as I've read that that can be a bit of a problem area.
I did notice it gurgling a little yesterday but found a video on youtube showing that a tissue over the end and a few good swings soon sorted that out.

yeah perfect sense mate.

I think I'll stick with what I have for now unless I start to experience leaking problems or struggle to get cheap coils as you've mentioned above.
