Hi,
I have been on e lites for a week now, they are helping but after the initial first few puffs, they seem to lose their power and 'hit' very quickly. I was a 15 a day smoker and am not using the e cig that much, but finding im having to change the tip every day. No way am i smoking the equivalent of 40 a day as advertised! Does anyone know of an e cig that is continuous with flavour and hit? I dont want to be buying a different brand and wasting money every week!
Thanks
Maggie

Ok those are what we call manuals. They are ok for some but many move on to the automatics. They don't look like a cig. They look more like anything between a pen to a sonic screwdriver or neurolizer. LOL Check out the sig below.
If they become a pain don't give up just move to the bit more expensive automatics. On them you push a button and draw in. It takes less effort to get a drag on them. You also have more flavor options. I started with an Ego twist 100Omah and a Ego C type b atty and a clearomerizer. I skiped the cig look-a-likes because of some friends who tried them and quit using them and went back to the stinkies.
But if these are good enough then keep dong what your doing. Just wanted to give you some options if they don't work out.
Welcome to ECF feel free to ask any question. The only stupid one is/are the one(s) you don't ask. LOL

Welcome Maggie! Those advertised equivalents are blatant lies. You do not get anywhere near that much from them. I find it amazing that you are only going through one a day! You can buy some juice to top off your cartos. If you want a better brand, but want to stay with the cig size, Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Smokeless Image Electronic Cigarettes - The Future is in your hands is a very good product. You can get their prefilled cartos and juice to refill them to match, or you can get blank cartos and use any juice from any vendor.

Another who has fallen victim to false advertising. There are alot of us here who have done that, so don't feel bad. You kept searching until you found us, so give yourself a pat on the back! The analog (cig) look alike batteries do not hold up for very long. I would suggest you step up to either a KGO or an eGo Twist battery. The larger battery will give you much more vaping time between recharges and you'll get the same vape at the end of the battery life that you did at the start. They really aren't that big. They look big in the pictures, just like movie stars always look bigger in pics. They are right at the same size as a Sharpe.

Elite Vaporworks KGO Starter Kit with Boge LR Cartomizers - KGO

I see they are currently out of stock, but this vender has the best buy for a KGO starter kit.

Whatever starter kit you get, be sure you get TWO batteries. That way you can still vape while the other is charging. One of these batteries will last you all day. Depending on how much you vape it could last you longer.

No cartomizer is the same as 40 analogs....unless maybe it's in a tank. But you can refill cartos several times before you have to pitch them.

Steve5600 has it backwards. The cig look alikes are called automatics because you don't have to press a button when you vape. That's one of the reasons why the battery life sucks on them. On the manuals you have to press a button while you vape, but it's very easy to get used to. Took me all of 5 secs to get used to it because the button is located in a convenient place...where you fingers automatically rest anyway. Manual batteries will last ALOT longer than automatics.

Hello & welcome Maggie, I'm also in the UK.

As the others have said, the advertised equivalent that e-lite's claim is so not true. Plus the little ciggie look alike batteries need recharging so often. However, until you get a better e-cig, don't throw your elite's "tips" (cartomisers) away as they can be refilled with e-liquid.

Have a look at this list of good UK e-cig & e-liquid vendors -

I use an ego twist 1000 mah with a ViVi nova tank the tank is key to getting good flavor and not having to replace the carto or keep having to top it off. The good thing is the battery lasts a good 12-16 hrs! Also make sure u get long wicks (the version 2.5 ViVi nova). It's great build quality and extremely cheap for how well made it is)
