Newbies with a few questions

Glad to have found this forum. As a UK 20-year pack a day smoker, thought it was time to try vaping.

First experiences - ok. Bought some cheapos from the newsagent - Skycig, Jenson etc - good for the first few goes but gradually the vape and taste wears away, not to mention expensive to continue with. But I did like the effect of having that cigarette feel to them.

I've now tried a company called Electronic Cigarette - Electric and E Cigarette UK - ECS Limited. Anyone ever used them? Bought the Elypse tank - great throat hit but inhaling through a mouth piece whilst pressing the button takes some getting used to. Also a messy business - the liquid seeps out and not easy to carry around as the thing breaks into its three parts too easily.

I'm vaping regular PG at the moment and suffering with a dry throat. Aiming to give VG a try soon. Also getting some tingling in my limbs - is that normal?

Is there anything out there that's refillable and gives a great throat hit, whilst mimicking a real cigarette (and not button-operated)? Cheers.

Sounds like what you're looking for is an automatic battery (rather than the manual (button press) batteries).

I'm not from the UK so I can't really help with vendors, but you could look for an automatic ego type battery. I know vapor4life sells an ego twist (variable voltage) type battery in both automatic and manual, though I'm not sure if they ship to the UK.

As far as throat hit and whatnot, most people use liquids with a blend of PG/VG unless they are allergic to one or the other. Also, throat hit is controlled more by the attached tank/cartomizer/atomizer than it is by the battery. I personally use the smoktech DCT Pyrex cartomizer tank with boge F16 low res cartomizers inside and get a pretty decent vape from them, but shopping for stuff like this is almost 100% preference. You really need to try things before you can make a decision on what is best for you.

Best of luck in your vaping endeavors.
