Sorry about the stupid name, just needed to ask a quick question that i couldn't find the answer to elsewhere. I just bought a viking vape, the guy at the store filled it up for me so i know it was filled correctly, and when i started to hit it, i couldn't taste it at all. I read that this can be due to smoking real cigs, but i don't smoke, nor have i every really smoked. I'm thinking that it could be the e-liquid just becasue it is very cheap stuff. (I bought this from a smokeshop more than a vape store so they didn't have much of a selection of liquid, and the packaging and the cost leads me to believe it was low end liquid) How can i fix my problem?

Thanks

Today I showed off my mod to the guy at work who got me into vaping - was nice to be able to have an intelligent conversation with him now.

While hanging with him he showed me his rack of juices - all brands I have never heard of in my admittedly very limited experience. He proffered "yeah, they're all cheap, I don't really like any of them, but most of them were free.

He is a young buck and I take that into account, but I wonder why he would buy cheap juice that he doesn't like? He makes decent money - is it a wisdom thing?

You get what you pay for I think - TL:DR version, check the juice forums for some well regarded names, watch some popular YouTube videos of juice reviews, and then you at least have a starting place to make some informed decisions regarding what you like and what you're willing to pay for.

when you push the button on the battery did it make a sizzling sound? (even if it was quiet)
-if it didn't it could be the tank meaning the tank is not working and you may need a new one (thats why the gentleman above said to try a new tank)

-if it did, they it could totally be the flavor. I've purchased flavors online that tasted like water, so that could totally be the issue. If the battery button lights up (meaning its working and charged) and you hear the sizzle noise of the tank when its got liquid in it, then chances are its just the flavor of the juice itself.

I'm sure it could be other things too (i.e. you need a new coil, your wick(s) aren't getting saturated, etc), but the juice itself is the most likely culprit.

On a side note, have you tried a variable voltage battery? Try not to be confused if you don't know what this is, its basically just a type of battery that allows you to adjust how high and low you want to 'cook' the juice. Kinda like toast, some people like it slightly burnt, some people like it barely warm. Well some flavors taste better and/or have more flavor up higher or lower. You dont have to have a fancy mod or anything like that to test this out, ego-twist batteries (probably the most popular) and other variable voltage batteries are pretty cheap :)

anyway hope that helps and good luck!

I started out trying a lot of different flavored juices. Some tasted as advertised and some were just nasty or flavorless. I have found out that I am menthol lover. My favorite that I have settled on is Moon Drops by Virgin Vapor. I think you should try some flavors that sound appealing to you and I am sure you will find some that you will really like.
