Hey all! My name is Andrew and I'm brand new to e-cigs. I just got my DSE801 today and took my first couple of draws on it. Plenty of smoke, the batteries charge fast (about 2 hours) and I'm very satisfied with it. I wanted something that could provide nicotine without looking like a cigarette and the DSE801 is a great answer. What's even better is my girlfriend can't smell anything on my breath or clothes! I was a little nervous about this as she is totally against the smell of tobacco (and rightfully so). I bought my 801 from myvaporstore.com. Hello Everyone! I'm a complete newbie to e-cigs. In fact, I didn't even know they existed until yesterday when I saw a new kiosk at the mall. I was so amazed that I immediately came home to do some research when I stumbled across this forum. Thanks to you all (and the tremendous amount of reading I've done) I ordered my very first e-cig today and will be receiving it tomorrow (I'm impatient so I had it overnighted...lol). This feels like an answer to my prayers because I have tried to quit smoking so many times to no avail. I even tried Chantix which did nothing but make me ridiculously nauseous and didn't allow me to hold down hardly any food. Because of my smoking problem, I get bronchitis every year, sometimes several times, and I knew I needed to quit. Now, for the first time in a long time, I have hope. Thanks for all the info on this site, especially the videos for newbies, as I'm sure I'll be watching them more and more once my new e-cig arrives.

Seriously though, I have been smoking since I was 12 and slowly worked-up to a two-pack a day habit. Eventually, I dropped back down to one pack of ultra-lights, when I got smokers-sickness at 16. (I could not inhale normal, or large volumes of air. Tobacco poisoning, similar to severe bronchitis.)
Now, after three failed attempts to quit, cold-turkey, patch, patch, I am going to make one more attempt. My failure was partly due to borderline quitting, along with an inability to control the desire take a drag of something... habitually I was a wreck, chemically I was almost there. (Trust me, you can't suck on a patch without getting more sick! I needed cigarettes and patches to kick the patch habit!)
Now I am 33, and I need to drop this nasty habit for good.
Going full vape soon. I hope that I will be able to get far enough away from the cigs, where I can actually taste how bad they are. Then I hope to ween myself down to using the vape for only flavored (oral-flavor only), alternative juices.
I was looking at some of the ginseng and coffee extracts, with the vitamins in there. I figured that would allow me to slowly put down the habit of picking up a cig to put in my mouth. That would also let me continue to use my new device beyond the period of being a true non-smoker. (I hate candy, pills, juices, etc... so this will be a nice way to run this device into the ground, until it dies for good.)
I may never give-up my vape device... However, I don't intend to continue to inhale or stay addicted to nicotine. Still, it is a win-win situation. I just don't want it to be a loose-loose situation, which is why I hunted this forum down...
Just for the record... Everyone calls me, "I Saw Google"... or they call me, "Know-it-all ..."... Whichever is more fitting for the moment is fine with me.
Also, for the record, it is... "I Saw Him, Is A Whim", like a mirrored palindrome. (The true palindrome, "ISAWHIMIHWASI", no longer holds water. I just kept the name, due to my websites.)

But no matter what I try, Hypnosis, patch, Chantix, gum, you name it , I tried it, and my habit is killing me as I can tell from the way I feel.
I am willing to try anything to get away from regular cigarettes and that is why I landed here on this forum.
But, the more I read, the more confused I get about which e-cig, which accessories I will need to order, and of course where is best place to order :-(

I was curious about e smoking and found this forum. I spent hours and hours trying to find out everything I could about how real it seemed, cost, manufacturer, supplier, carts etc etc. I finally found this place in china bestecig.com and ordered a usb ecig and a 901 with tons of carts and liquid.
I was so pumped to get everything. I really wanted to post a new thread and ax others about my experience but cant yet. I guess i have not yet posted enough. anyway - a little background: I have smoked minimally on and off for years. started smoking american spirit lights and smoke from 1-20 a week depending on mood etc. YES I KNOW THAT IS NOT MUCH. I dont smoke because of addiction but because I enjoy the buzz/feeling just as someone might enjoy having a drink. (I find the efforts to ban e cigs just stupid and annoying - how the hell can you ban ecigs and not real cigs???) i digress. I ordered an ecig because I cant stand the smell and I dont want to damage my lungs with smoke.
verdict? well.............not impressed. its fun! and it looks cool and tastes okay but I feel almost nothing. in fact, I'm not sure if I feel anything at all - or is it just what I would feel normally by holding my breath for so long. the buzz from one light american spirit would be very significant and feels like 100 times what I feel from an ecig. I have tried both the usb and the standalone dse 901. unless I am doing something wrong. I cant see how though. I have tried both prefilled carts and blanks that I loaded with liquid. I have low, medium and high strengths.
a few possible explanations: the supplier sold me carts and liquid that had no nicotine OR what was giving me the buzz was the tar and carbon monoxide and all the other combustible byproducts. OR my brain was flooding my body with endorphins in response to what it perceived to be an attack with poison etc. and that it doesnt perceive the vapor that way so no endorphins. this is very dissapointing because I really enjoyed having an occasional smoke and was looking forward to the same thing but without the disgusting smoke and lung damage. I can happily puff away here at my computer but it doesnt do a damn thing!!!!!!!! has anyone else had this reaction? I am such a low volume smoker that one would think that even a medium strength nicotine cart/liquid would have an impact. but even the high strength (didnt get extra high) doesnt do anything significant. sigh............... what a bummer. I was hoping to dump real smokes forever - I hate having to sit outside freezing my ... off in the winter. but as of right now - I find almost no comparison to how an e-cig feels and how a real cig feels.

I'm hoping to stop with the analogs completely. They're making me feel like crap.
I'm now a bit nervous that I should have ordered a penstyle instead, since I don't really care what it looks like, but I suppose I'll try it out for a week or two, and then get a penstyle with a USB passthrough for at home and save the 901 for outings, if need be.
My boyfriend is interested too, so I'm gonna let him try one of mine for a bit, since I got a starter kit with 2 batteries and 2 atomizers. He said he'll probably get a penstyle if he likes it, so maybe we'll order our penstyle starter kits together if it comes to that.

Hey dude, if you are not vaping 36mg liquid, maybe vaping the carts they send with it, I could symp witcha, try some real liquid. I smoked 2 packs a day for 30+ years and if I wanted too I could make myself vomit with nicotine. (almost have actually) Get some high nic juice, you'll definitely know. Your e-cig may not be producing either. You should be blowing big cones of smoke on your exhale. It does work and works well. If you have any questions PM me, I'll be glad to help...........a
Hi Jinx , get your 901 and try it out first. If you got a good one it should produce alot of vapor and you'll be hooked. For many a 901 is all they need, depends on the user. You definitely made a good choice for your first one. The pen style produces about the same amount of vapor but with the 901 you have to refill your cart more often and the batt doesn't last as long. I mainly wanted to start vaping just so I could smoke in my house and car but it seems that in the past few days my usage of analogs has gone to just about nothing, so thats kinda cool.

Sounds like yer on the right track, get some juice and you'll be set. I recommend 555 or R4, most of the other ones are ok for a minute but not something you would vape all day. The tobacco ones are pretty good too. hope this helps. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me..........a

I first started vaping with a smoke51 about 1 month ago. after 20 days vaping i try a regular cig and it tasted nasty, i had to put it out after 2 or 3 puffs. I've been having problems with the battery not sutting off and then the over use thing kicks in and i can't inhale again for 45 seconds. I just ordered a 901 from totally wicked and it should be 3 days before it gets here then i can send my smoke51 battery back for a replacement.
I'm glad i found this site as i read all the reviews before deciding on paying for the 901. I've read most of the tips and tricks too so I know what to do to clean the atomizers and fill carts and I have pretty much all the knowledge i need to get me started refilling my own ecig and keeping it working properly.
looking forward to seeing you on the forums.
