all the more reason to reiterate the use of safe/protected batteries when using mods. hope he recovers soon.

The cause for any exploding electronic device is always the batt. Remember some time back a guy got killed by his exploding cellphone? Don't pinch pennies on batts is the 1st advice and always check if your devices(any) is a little too hot when in use. Stuff like this happens, be careful and be safe is key! Hope the dude gets well soon.
