I just turned on the tv when I got home and saw a commercial regarding them touching on electronic cigarettes this evening!! I don't know how many other people have seen this but the commercial didn't look like they will be painting what has helped so many of us in a positive light. I'm going to watch and see what they say.

I'm guessing they are going to falsely claim that there is no evidence that they:

1. Are safe for the average smoker

2. Help people quit smoking

and also claim that:

1. They are offered in flavors that appeal to children

2. Nicotine is highly toxic and can be fatal in large doses

The repetitive repeating of misleading information, instead of reporting the facts, is getting predictable... and annoying.

I saw this on the West Coast feed here in CA. It was a very superficial report but at least it wasn't a scare piece.
Yea it wasn't a scare piece, but they always have to have the naysayer casting that doubt about safety. If the media wanted to be completely balanced, they would bring on one of the many qualified Dr's that encourage reduced harm products like e-cigs.

Unfortunately ...
too much information, over sound-bytes, puts the public to sleep.

Okay, fair enough. Lets git rid of the negative information and replace it with positive. This would equal same amount of information, sound bytes etc, and maybe the media could be responsible for helping save millions of lives by cutting out their crap!:p
