Co-ops save you money buy granting you bulk rate/wholesale prices without having to purchase large quantities.

HG's Base airmail shipping starts at $3 and scales up with the size of your order. This is the "Slow Boat" shipping option and can take up to 6 weeks.

HG offers discounts on bulk purchases of specific items: i.e. 20% off if you buy 20 of the same atomizer (same color and everything).

HG offers discounts for accounts with large purchase histories. %10 at a history of $3000.

EMS shipping is $14 flat rate for orders less than 30kg. That's 66lbs.

Ok, I'm down for a FA coop as well.

1. Co-op's up to this point have been kinda spuratic and on a volunteer bases. Nothing really scheduled. So no IDK when the next one will be. I'm hoping to make it a more regular thing but we shall have to see.

2. Yes, Jules did a Heavens Gifts a way back. However we arnt likely to do another as they have dropped their shipping to 3.00 and have no MO....no reason to anymore.

Well for this one I'm working on right now....
If you where to order on your own eastmalls...shipping is flat rate at 15.00 and has a mo of 35.00

average person paid about 4.00 for shipping from both the company and from me.
and the average order was around 25.00

So basically the cheapest amount you can pay to EM is 45.00...I had folks pay as little as 12.00.
Everyone saved around 10-12.00 on shipping. Despite shipping the goods twice.

I had worked a deal with HG where we could get a very good price on things. ie: Ego kits for $39. Had it worked that if we did cost plus 10% it covered all the shipping. So you would be saving a significant amount of money.

heavens gifts dropped their shipping to 3 bucks?? seriously??? oh baby, if that's true, I'm all over that!

Is it safe? Did you have any problems? Has anyone ever? That you know.. that isn't a supplier?

Thanks for all the help UTcutie!

$3 is the bbase rate for the slow shipping, not EMS.

From what I was told when I brought up another HG co-op, all co-ops were going to have to be done in the classifieds. Now whether or not this applies to everyone remains to be seen. We'll just have to see how Joker rules on this one and go from there.

BTW, the HG co-op was going to be for one model ecig only at a time, taking turns with the models and not everything on the site to keep confusion and mistakes to a minimum. I had a deal worked to get great pricing too. Oh well, I guess we all lose on that one and I'm not happy about it at all.

I "think" that HG is trying to not be a bulk supplier they want to be a reseller direct supplier.
B/C they dropped all the incentives for other resellers really. There is no free ship over so much, for most things there isnt a discount for bulk, and for the ones that there is...it's 20% off at most. Retailers need more then 20% off to profit.

Missed this earlier, sorry.

As I stated in another post. I spent some time working a deal with HG to get a better price for PIF. The Ego normally sells there for $73.50. We can get it for $39. That is a savings of $34.50. Quite a bit more than 20%. The lesser priced items do have a smaller discount though and may fall in the 20% range. Someone else and I did the figuring, if everyone splits the initial shipping fee for slow boat (that means about 3 weeks to get our stuff) it will be a couple of dollars per person unless you are ordering a bunch of kits. That happened in the last co-op. He paid for his part of the shipping completely since he had 4 kits and it raised the shipping significantly. Anyway, if we take the discount price and add just 10% that covers all shipping material and shipping from whoever would be doing that part of it. That is still one heck of a savings, even though you have a slight wait. I always do slow boat and have never had one go over 3 weeks except for their Chinese New Year which I had totally forgotten about when ordering.

I know I messed up the last HG co-op really bad. It was my fault and no one else's. I took on too much too soon and I am not a very organized person. Steps have been discussed to keep this from happening again.

As it stands right now, there will be NO NEW CO-OPS until the ECF mods make a decision on them.

We will finish the ones that are going on now but any new ones will be shut down until we hear from them.

jules, will you try and get our point across? except for the hg co-op which was way up in volume when you were not feeling your best, all others have gone through without a problem.
i know i would feel uncomfortable participating in a co-op going through classifieds and i think there are quite a few more members here who feel the same.
thanks:)

This is not something that Jules decided, Tib, this was something that was talked about by ECF mods and we are just waiting to find out what we are allowed to do and what we aren't. If ECF decided to have a sub-forum for co-ops, then it would just be a place for co-ops run by ECF members. So anyone that is a member of PIF could start a co-op if they wanted and you could all feel comfy with getting in on it still. So same thing, just a different place for the "I'm running a co-op" post to originate.

toni, i understood it was not jules' doing!!!! i was hoping jules and you could present our point of view to the mods making these decisions.
ecf is very large and it really would be nice to have some co-ops stay right here in pif
