I am on NextDoor. It can be useful to connect with the neighborhood and if you need some info about your area. But the problem is, some of the people just dont have a clue about most of the stuff that is being discussed. Probably never have heard of the word "Google". But then they just go in and post stuff like they are PhDs on the topic.

I am sorry to say, most of them are old ladies waiting to argue on something and kill some time. Sorry! #Feminism, dont kill me! :)

This vape thing is new one for me. It will be fun if there is one posted. I would like to see what people in my area think.

I had a huge argument with few numpty people on raw diet for cats about a few months ago. The lack of knowledge was just appalling.

FB, is great for cat videos. Other than that, I am not sure what other benefit it provides. For keeping in touch with friends, WhatsApp is all you need.

Next Door is for people who take themselves seriously. And get upset when no one else does.

@englishmick you should have fun with it. People like that are easily provoked. Troll them like you own them, man.

I've only been on Next Door for 3 weeks. First social media I've been on for around 15 years, except for ECF and a Chevy S10 group.

I just participated in a useful chat about heavy trash pickup. They changed the rules without telling us, and someone had called and got the current rules. So it has some value.

There was a discussion about mouse traps. One lady was outraged about kill traps, said cruelty is never OK. Someone was bemoaning the absence of doughnut shops with vegan options. Then someone was appealing for help in raising a brood of baby racoons (pictures below). They fell out of a tree. Sadly they didn't make it. RIP. A rather bitter fight over someone who hadn't been mowing their back yard. Turned out he had a back injury but a neighbor had called the authorities to complain. Small town life in America.

I ain't ever going to duel with strangers on-line though. I would rather watch SpongeBob SquarePants.

I have always thought people bemoaning kill/snap traps as cruel while pushing glue traps where the animal is literally stuck there starving to death is just stupid.

Cute pics btw.
