Currently I am vaping a Silver Bullet which I just got a Liquinator tank for (and am pleased with). I want to get another mod mainly for backup. I'm happy with the SB and would have no problem doing another tube mod. Box mods and feeders interest me but I'm not familiar with them. How do they compare to a tank setup? What about variable voltage versions of either? I'm at 3.7 with LR attys and cartos now and happy with taste and vapor production. What would I gain by going with a VV vs my current setup?

Any specific recommendations? Wouldn't mind trying something different. On one hand it would be nice to have something smaller and more discreet as a backup and for occasional use but I'm normally a do it bigger/better guy and like having a big batt and large tank so I'm good for all day.

Have you looked at the vapage vmod? They've fixed some of the problems and the latest versions have been getting some good reviews. I like the fact that it has several different ohms available now and I've got my eye on one of these for a future purchase. It'll probably happen just as soon as my rich uncle gets out of the poorhouse lol.

If you'll slide the transport button out to about 7:00 and start from there, you'll see some coverage of the issues. (ie, you have to maintain the seal) Review: V-Mod Premium Kit - YouTube

I opted for the REO mini, and I definitely like it for on-the-go. It's small and carries a good amount of juice in one package. However, you need 14250's for 6v, and their longevity isn't great. I still find myself using the SB almost exclusively when I'm at home and can grab either. It's just bulky to carry around, though, so I'm looking around for new toys.

The vmod is nice looking, but is also a 14500 mod, so same caveat if you like 6v. Ultimately I was really turned off by the proprietary atomizers. They cost time and half, and you're limited by their stock (they currently have NONE of the cartomizers in stock, for instance). Also, almost every post I see for it mentions the leaking issues... fans act like it's not a big deal, but it still seems as though there is a lot of "It's not going to leak if you only feed until the bubble is 1.23 millimeters and you fiddle with the rings and tweak with the doohickey and...".

To back up your current PV, I'm not so sure I'd recommend something expensive. A maxi rough stack v2 will use the same batteries you use in your SB - looks nice - works great - and is easy on the wallet @ 40 bucks currently on sale.\

VV. Well, I'm still not too gung ho about VV. I own a VV mod and I find myself setting it at exactly the same voltages I used for the same attys and cartos I could before I had VV.

As you can see from my sig line, I've got an SB, an Omega, and a RS. Quite frankly I wish I hadn't spent the money on the RS, it hasn't seen the light of day since I got the SB. I've also got a VV boxmod and have found it useful for using up the atty's that are either too high in resistance, or too low. But the SB is my primary rig and I use it all day, every day for the most part. The Omega is there for a backup, but I prefer the SB's switch to the Omega's and I've only used it a few times to try it out. If I were to do it over again I'd just buy 2 SB's and be done with it. As long as you know how to match the atty resistance to the voltage you're running you don't need VV. That's my opinion anyway.

I was tempted to do the roughstack but now that I've discovered tanks I don't think the top switch will work too well with it. The Omega or Alpha I don't know about the top cap switch. I'd prefer to try one before buying. With the suggestions I think I'm leaning towards the Shine mod. Cheap, simple, uses my 18650 batteries and 510 gear I use on the SB. If I get that I'm good to go for cheap and can see about sending the SB back to get the button fixed and be covered. If that's waht I do maybe I'll think about another, something different than a big batt tube mod, after the holidays.

I'm loving my shine mod. Just be prepared with a shot glass or something to put it in. It won't stand up because there's an on/off switch on the bottom. I'm seriously thinking about removing the switch so it's on all the time and replacing it with a different cap of some sort. But performance wise...cannot beat it. Especially for the price.

Thanks for this. Ive been very interested in picking up a smaller mod that performs well on a relatively low budget. This fits all the parameters and will be ordering mine today. Love that green color!

Any experience with their acorn tanks? Price is great and seems super easy to fill.

I have had one about a week. I truly think it's a fluke, but it leaks through the center post...I have to clean the connector after every 2-3 puffs. I told them about it and they're sending a replacement. The acorn vape is just incredible!! If you like the CE2 carto, but hate having to fill with a syringe, cracking, etc...you'll love the acorn! The top unscrews and you just drip your juice in...simple and easy. I'm telling you...incredible taste, lung hit, and vapor production!!

Whoa thats it? Thats impressive, and only $25

Hmmmmmm.....*checks bank account*

I'm guesstimating...but yea...it's about the perfect size IMO. There are better looking mods out there...but not for this price. It performs brilliantly as well. Haven't had a single misfire at all thus far. I have the batts on the way for 6V...can't wait to vape an acorn at 6 volts.

Definitely gonna throw one in my order then. Ive got the dual coil tank from madvapes, and I love it, but that acorn tank price cant be beat, and Im a fan of the CE2. Wasnt sure If I should go with the chibi or acorn, but gonna try the acorn for ease of use.
