Ok. So i've recently learned that i love vaping! Using manual 510 regular sized batteries and cartomizers. It's the only thing i've ever found that's conpletely replaced regular cigarettes. here's my problem. After my 7-10 puffs to get my " i need a cigarette" fix, i have trouble putting it down. I'm considering getting some no nic "rainbow packs" to sample flavors and from what i've read, an atomizer is the way to go. Do i have to clean the attys after every different flavor? currently i switch betweem 2 flavors i like and always have a carto of each ready to go. Is that the more effiencient use of juice or does the stuff dry fast enough for it to be worth switching to attys?

You can have 2 atty's or more to switch between juices. Especially if you have a dark juice. Those can sometimes clog atty's a little quicker then clearer juices would. You can also get some VG from your local Wal-Mart

to put in your atty's to kinda clear out multi flavors you have in an atty.

As far as wanting more... what % of nic do you vape? 12mg, 14mg, etc. If it's too low you prolly wanna step it up.

Also that battery might not give off enough. Get a battery rated at 650mah or higher. You can get a Joye Ego or RIVA kit for around $45 that will have atty's, 2 battery's a charger etc that will be a good start. The pen style standard 510 batteries aren't really enough for a lot of people. You might wanna upgrade to fit your vaping needs:)

+1 on the above advice - couldn't have said it better. I'll just add that if you are quitting smoking and vaping for the 1st time it's normal to chain vape for the first few weeks. Stay hydrated at all times (tons and tons of h20) and it'll taper off eventually. Cutting back too far on the nic can lead to cravings so try to keep some moderately strong nic on hand in case you have difficulty.

Good advice guys! The hydration thing really helped with the headaches. I plan on getting a rig for use while at home for sure. The small cig style batteries are more than enough for my work day. My pcc takes care of any battery issues, i keep one in the pcc with 2 carto and my 2nd always has a loaded carto ready to puff ;-)

Oh and the nic is 18. I'm wondering if its because i wore step one patches for 6 weeks before i switched to vaping and i need to reacustom myself to not having a constant flow in my blood stream

Definitely agree with the advice above ! I started vaping with a cigarette style that lasted about a week then I moved on to the KGO which I loved and now I'm on to a provari... And as far as switching flavors in an atomizer...(dripping is my method of choice) I just take the atomizer off and blow through it into a napkin to get the excess juice out then add my new flavor and I'm back to :vapor: !!

I post this alot but it still holds true so here we go. The best kit and carto combination for a new vaper is a Kgo kit and smoketek single coil 1.7 ohm carto's. The kit is 2 1100 mah batts that vape at a pretty constant 3.7-3.8 till it runs out compared to 3.3-3.4 of ego's and a lot of the stick style batteries. That jump in volts does make a really big difference. I had a Riva kit as my first setup and while it worked I was doing the same thing as you. Seemed like I couldn't get enough and had to take really long draws to get enough.

You inhale less nic from a ecig than you did from a cig so you really need to adjust your nic level and amount of vapor your inhaling for the first month to curb withdrawals. you might wanna buy a bottle of 20-24 nic juice to help ya get through it but having that kgo will help also as it will produce more vapor and better hits.

Hope this helps.

After my 7-10 puffs to get my " i need a cigarette" fix, i have trouble putting it down.

Why would you need to put it down after 10 puffs? Just keep vaping. On the other had if you are still having cravings for cigarettes try going to 24mg nicotine. It is more important to end your craving for tobacco than to cut your nicotine consumption. You can cut down on the nicotine later and meanwhile it is no worse for you than coffee. I don't use nicotine any more but I took a year to cut it out completely.

If you are satisfied with the vapor and hit you are getting there is no reason to go for a larger battery except that it lasts longer.

When I am testing juices I blow out the atomizer into a tissue between them. At that point dripping a bit of no-nic PG, vaping that mostly off, blowing out atty again, could help get rid of old flavor. Then drip the new flavor. be careful not to overnic yourself when testing juices - take some breaks to avoid the overnicced headache or rapid/irregular heartbeat.

Also when I test juice I line them up from most delicate to strongest to clingy based on what I expect them to taste like. I start testing at the delicate end.

People who try or drip a lot of juices (especially for reviews) often have a whole handful or cup full of atomizers. Use a fresh one for each flavors, then when done rinse all of the ones you used, shake out and blow out, and set them to dry.
