Hey reo people! I know this isn't reo related but I don't really post in any other forums at all.

I recently stepped up my diy e juice game. I have it broken down into 60ml Amber glass bottles that I store in my fridge. I'm just wondering how I should clean these thing before refilling them. I was thinking just rinse them out with hot water 3 or 4 times right after I empty them. How does every one else clean their diy supplies?

I use hot water and original Dawn dish soap and hot water rinse for the bottles and measuring syringes. Some of my flavors are potent even though I'm cutting down on the concentrations. I should do a final rinse with distilled water because my well water is so hard a spoon will stand up in a glass of it.

I'm ready to order some 120ml bottles. I like mixing but sometimes don't have the time and I'll go thru 60mls pretty fast playing with dual coils in my new RM8 and RM9.

Cool thanks everyone! For now I have 4 bottles that will always just have unflavored nic base. Soon I'll transition my menthol from the plastic 30ml bottle to one of these better glass bottles. Sounds like the hot water rinse will work. If it works for beer should work for nic base.

Actually, when I'm refilling with the same flavor - I DON'T rinse it clean.
Somewhere, someone pondered the concept of "seeding" a fresh mix with some from the last batch as a possible component for steeping. And while I don't have any idea if there's any possibility this has a chemical effect, that's what I do.
I've been mixing my ADV in batches of 120 ml bottles, and I typically do it right on top of the last teeny bit of remaining liquid. Under a ml, maybe just some drops actually.
But the fact is those bottles are only open a few moments at a time - I pour into a 30 or 50 ml which is then used to refill my mods. So it's clean in there - nothin' but juice.
I suppose I'll probably hot water wash - like once a year.

Seed steeping does work, especially with the "baccy flavors. DannyV over in the DIY forum got me interested in it, so I tried it. My favorite flavors I mix about 100mls at a time and just add them to the 5-10 mls left in a 120m bottle. Unflavored I mix about 230mls at a time in a 250 ml bottle, and those I don't rinse anymore either. If I make something I'm not re-mixing I save those 15 and 30 ml bottles till I have a few, then soak them in hot water, Ajax liquid dish soap and baking soda all mixed together in a plastic tub. I think the baking soda helps knock back the residual flavor/odor that the plastic absorbs. Glass, easy peasy, hot water rinse usually does it...

I've got about a half pound of menthol crystals, and that is a hard one to clean from plastic! From now on I will only use the menthol in glass containers.
