You cannot judge anything on the color, except the level of oxidation in the nic. You can only judge the nic by it's odor and taste, so take a cautious whiff off the bottle, and see if there's anything weird/bad in the odor. Normally, there's often a wooden/nutty/damp-tobacco'y odor, and that can be exagerated upon oxidation of the nic, which many likes for unflavored or tobacco vaping. If the odor is okay, then it's most probably good, but you gonna have to taste it in a mix to make sure of course.

I have a 100ml 100mg bottle of nic in a closet for up to a year also, as I use low nic, and without issue...

I would try it first, before you trash it. Just make a small 10ml batch and check if you think the flavor is off. I'm just getting to the bottom of a 120ml bottle of 48mg that expired in Feb. It has taken on a yellowish/ straw color, but I am making juice for me and my mother (husband is 0nic now) and neither one of us have noticed anything, my juices taste fine.

Just my :2c:
:toast:
It has never been stored in anything other than its original pkg. and never stored in frig or freezer.
From what I understand it may have only lost some of it potency....so my 4mg mixes may well be 3+ - -4 , haven't noticed tho.

Just as said, try to smell and taste it, It's most probably fine... This with the "max 3-4" month, is highly exagerated. If you absolutelly cannot take your nic changing color, then ok, but that's it. Yes, the nic changes color, but as known, it takes very very little actual oxidation to make colors, even darker ones. I know it maybe looks gross, but that's it. After very much oxidation, it can take a nice tobacco flavor onto itself, and possible, add some pepperness in the nose during exhale, and a little on the tongue if using higher nic. Sometimes of course, the nicbase can get bad tasting also, but dark nic isn't = bad nic!
