Probably the most recommended kit on the Forum this year:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

I would get several strengths initially. I used 36 mg/ml the first two weeks to power through the cravings, then dropped to 24 for 4 months. Then 6 months at 18 mg/ml, and now vape at 12 mg/ml. I DIY, but best juices can be found by:

1. Hit up the local vape store juice bar and test them
2. Buy Sample packs from the top vendors. I started with MyFreedomSmokes sample packs and found a couple I liked
3. Eventually, it's hard to beat the DIY process as you can tailor every aspect of the juice, strength and PG/VG ratio. It does a while to get it down. Start with single ingredient mixes and experiment from there. 2 - 4 day steep times usually work well on single ingredient mixes.

Good luck to you and welcome to the Forum!

It's not THAT intense - in fact, if you do some reading here, it can be pretty easy to start.
I'd say wait til you've "settled in" to the kind of "hardware" you're going to vape with - then mixing juice is a great next step.
And most people do go through a couple options before they decide what kind of battery and what kind of juice-delivery they like the best. There are a LOT of options...

I've recently started mixing juice - I buy 48 mg/ml nicotine, I buy PG and VG, and I buy some flavorings.
I use a calculator to get the right ratios of PG/VG/NIC/FLAVOR all correct.
I use syringes to measure.
And I'm making juice that tastes great for less than 1/10th what it can cost to buy otherwise.
Start reading threads in the "DIY" section to learn what kind of stuff is involved!
But I still buy some juice because I know I like it, and haven't tried (yet) to duplicate the recipe...

thanks, whats this i'm reading about making your own vape juice?
is that a real option?

It's not hard to mix at all. It can be hard to mix one you like but It's so cheap, you can just dump it out if it's bad.
I started vaping with DIY and save quite a bit. Costs me $0.55 for 10ml.
There's android apps and websites to figure out the amounts of PG, VG, Nic Base and Flavor If you aren't comfortable with the math.

whats the highest Nic level you can get for an e cig?

I'm sliding over from chewing tobacco and am looking for somthing with high levels.
Don't just assume that you'll end up needing/enjoying that. Try some different nic levels. My starting level was much lower than I anticipated.

An excellent starter kit. Baditude has some good recommendations regarding what to look for. I like this starter kit, but it doesn't have the build-your-own aspect.

Alternatively, you can skip eGo-style vaping and go to mods. There are a number of relatively inexpensive mods that can work quite well for the new vaper, such as the iTaste MVP v2 or the Sigelei Zmax v3.

Bill nudged me a couple months ago into the world or DIY..... Its been all good. I have about a dozen good all day vapes now. My problem is, every once in a while I make a juice so darn good that I have to keep buying new carto tanks to keep the juice in so I can have all my favorites with me all the time. ........"so much good juice, so little time"
