Hi, Im new to the whole e-cig thng. I recently got the Inferno starter kit with the 16mg tobacco flavor. It just doesnt relieve the nic-fits. In the morning with a regular cigarette I usually get a slight buzz, but not with these e-cigs, nor do they relieve my cravings throughout the day. I constantly have this thing stuck to my face, but with no fix. Are there higher levels of nicotine other than 16mg or something else I could try?

Thanx

Lots of folks suggest buying varying levels of the same flavor in different strengths - sample sizes of course. That way, when you find 16 is too low, and 36 is too high, if you mix them 50/50 or 75/25 - you don't lose any flavor, but can balance out the nic level. This assuming you found a flavor you enjoy, and are just trying to find the nic level.

Keeping some of each helps too, as the higher may be desirable at peak craving times, and use the lower levels the remainder of the day.

Helps to have approaching 20 e-cigs too, to have all this stuff loaded and ready ;) Yeah, I'm nowhere near break even yet LOL

Hi Fatman66, Welcome to the forum. When you are first making the switch there is a bit of a learning curve. The way that the nicotine is getting into your body is different with the e-cigarettes than an analogue....it takes LONGER! For this reason, it is important in the beginning to vape often AND BEFORE the cravings get a chance to build. I agree that 16mg may be too low for you. Also, when I was first starting out I kept nicotine lozenges with me and would sometimes pop one of them if the cravings got bad.

Everyone is different, you just need to keep experimenting till you find your sweet spot. Good Luck!!

Get a small bottle of 36mg unflavored Nic, some PG and VG. Cut the 36mg down to find what level of Nic will do the trick for you. Then you can buy flavored Nic at the level that you find works, or you can get into DIY mixing and buy some flavors. Check out the One Stop DIY Shop for supplies at: One Stop DIY Shop

WOW, Thanx for all the quick replies! Is there a "best" or highly recommended place to buy juices? And maybe suggest your favorite flavors. Though Volcano has a lot of great flavors, they only go up to 16mg for some reason.

Thanx again!

One other thing; What is the difference between Propylene Glycol USP or Vegetable Glycerin USP/Kosher. I was going to order bottle of some Flavor-It-Yourself E-Liquid, but it asks what blend do I want.

One other thing; what does PG and VG stand for?

I don't have a lot of experience with juice vendors, but I usually buy my juice at Freedomsmokeusa (coupon code "freedomsmokeusa" for 10% off).

VG: thicker, has a sweet taste to it, mutes both the flavor and the Throat hit of your juice, provides big plumes of vapor.

PG: thinner, allows more flavor and throat hit to come through, not as much plumes of vapor though.

Many vapers like a mix at about 80%pg and 20%vg. Good luck. :)

Very good advice Princessa. I also carry a bottle of high unflavored nic with me. I hardly ever feel the need to use it anymore but it is comforting to have it available. I vape 30 to 36 mg all day long and don't really feel the need to use my "emergency drops" anymore.

E Cigarette Suppliers Forum all the best sit here
PG is Propylene Glycol/VG is Vegetable Glycerin so if you see a say 60/40 the PG will be higher.

VG is thicker and sweeter than PG, giving you good vape production.
Some people are allergic to PG so use VG .
PG produces the TH (throat hit) making vaping feel the way smoking did.
Best you can do is read, read, read these threads lots to learn here.
Welcome and Good luck......

The most widely used nicotine level based on polls on this site and others is 24mg. I would get some 18, 24 and 36mg and experiement as to what works best for you. Most new vapers need a higher nic strength to make the transition.

Liberty Flights "Home Counties" flavor is a nice smooth tobacco flavor: E Liquid - E Liquid 5ML - PG - Tobaccos

I basically have the same problem. I have been vaping for two weeks now @ 24 mg. I still have at least 6 analogs a day and i guess this is good coming from a two full flavor pack a day 40 yr habit. If I constantly vape short of overheating my atty I mainly do alright but still have some nic fits throughout the day. I am not sure what to do either. Go to 36 mgs? I also am having trouble with flavors and where to buy, especially after ordering a couple sample flavors that were horrible. This forum is good and full of information but I am still at a crossroad.

You could try 36, it might help.

You could try some snus to supplement if it's so terribly important to knock out those last few smokes.

I'd just be happy with the progress you've made so far and not worry too much about the last few smokes. Remember that cutting your smoking down from 2 packs per day to 1/2 a pack per day is still huge. Focus on how many cigs you aren't smoking, not how many you are smoking.

Many times, the last few cigs will go away on their own as long as you keep up your vaping.

Good luck :)

Your problem could be the device you are using. To get the "inhaled feel" of an analog, I would suggest a good 5 volt or variable volt PV and of course, definitely manual batteries.

This is a fantasically good post. Words to live by if you ask me. You've made great progress. Focus on that. The rest will follow if you want it to, and it sounds like you really do. GREAT JOB with your reduction and good luck and continued success.
