So, I bought 500mls of Nic back around Christmas time from one of the big sales. It didn't occour to me at the time to freeze it, so I just stashed it all in my vaping amoire. (Yes, I have an amoire dedicated to vaping, mostly just DIY stuff)

When it first arrived, it was clear and perhaps even very slightly amber in color. Taste was fine to my tastebuds. Arrived in plastic pour-spout bottles.

Fast forward to yesterday. I've mixed up all but 60mls of it, and as I was examining the nic, I noticed that the coloring was off. It's now the color of a medium scotch, a medium tan if you will. It smells fine, I didn't taste anything off with it.

Is this normal? Some sort of oxidation from the liquid sitting at room temperature?

Thanks for your time,-

Ya, it's oxidation. Should be okay. Freezing it will keep it clearer longer.

I usually use 250 ml bottles. I keep them in the freezer until I open them. Once they are open I leave them locked up at room temp with the rest of my supplies. The nic does tend to get brown as it sits out longer, but I haven't noticed a big difference in taste.

I am thinking of getting some 100 ml glass bottles to divide my large bottles into for freezing though. Since I've cut down on my nic levels it takes me a while to go through the 250 ml bottles and it would probably be better to portion it out and keep all but a small batch out for mixing.

Okay, good. I wasn't super worried about it, but it's nice to know.

I got a couple 250ml glass bottles with my last order, and I portioned the new stuff into them, and they're in the freezer...except for the big bottle with 250ish left in it. I don't really have my process refined enough to know how much I actually go through at a mixing session, so I don't want to leave too little out.

First, while we are on the subject, I got 500ml's of PG & VG. Should they be frozen? [EDIT] forgot, what about expansion during freezing

I got good prices at Specialty Bottle - Glass Bottles, Glass Jars, Tin Containers, Vials, Plastic Bottles, Plastic Jars for Food, Cosmetics, Candles and Aromatherapy. Ranged from 15ml - 120ml plus some vials 4dram/15ml & 2dram/7.5ml and some jars. 40 pieces in all. $38.00( including UPS). NO USPS for over 1 lb.They didn't have blue in all sized so I got clear! I'm a type A. Their bottles come with foam cap liners, but, you can get poly caps but they need to be ordered over the phone. No minimum order
