Government War On E-Cigarettes Leaves Smokers Gagging | National Review Online

“Here you have an incredible situation where private enterprise took on something that seemed like an intractable problem and developed a product with enormous potential,” Weiss says. “But if you make it just as inconvenient for smokers to use an alternative to their cigarette as it is to use their cigarette, they are just going to keep smoking their cigarettes, and that is not in the best interest of public health.”

Good article. The author is a William F. Buckley Fellow at the National Review. Thank goodness there are still groups that let common sense direct their thinking. It's interesting that one part of the political spectrum is consistently supportive of vaping and the opposite part is consistently against it. You would think vaping would easily be "a-political". I wonder why this clear division exists. Maybe some of the vapers who like politicians like Henry Waxman and Al Franken will stop by and explain it. It's a real head-scratcher.
