The one thing that the "other" stick has that the NicoStick doesn't is the ability to plug in a USB cable to run as a passthrough /charge the battery. This is a very cool feature and I thought I'd like to tackle it.
Unfortunately, I have not a freaking clue as to how that would be wired and whether it requires a logic circuit to limit the USB input.
Would the protection circuit in the battery be sufficient to prevent over charging or would it be necessary to include a protection circuit in addition to the battery's?
Maybe the thing to do is to forget charging and just add a switch so that I could use it on USB power if the battery went dead (bypass the battery). That would be pretty easy to do (I think).
I really like the charging idea though!
