They are saying 2 years, if stored in a freezer. This is what their website says ...

"Nude Armor nicotine base uses our same tried-and-true formulation for our standard nicotine base. However, Nude Armor is packaged and sealed for long term storage. We rate the shelf-life of this nicotine base to be upwards of two years without degradation or oxidation. All you need to provide is a freezer (~ -20C) for storage!"

Just like most of the consumable products, manufacturers put an expiration date not because when the expiration date arrives the product immediately becomes unusable, but instead to give a date past which they will not guarantee its freshness/quality. Just like your milk is probably still good the day after it expires, the same can be said for nic.

The main enemies are oxygen and light, devoid of those it will last a VERY long time, i can't find the thread, but *EDIT* its Kurt (not KentC) has nic that has been in his freezer for well over 5 years and has not degraded in any noticeable way.

My question/thought would be the expiration date or shelf life's correlation to the plastic bottle's life, minor chemicals leeching from the plastic..

DO NOT buy nicotine stored in plastic. Buy nicotine in lab amber glass, preserved with an argon filler, having a special top accessible with simple syringes that keep oxygen out.

I don't quite understand the people in the Stockpiling thread saying they have enough nicotine to last them 20-30 years or those who have purchased several liters of it. That nicotine won't even be any good in 10 years will it? Nude Nicotine says 2 year shelf life on their extended life line of products.

the storage life of nicotine kept in the freezer is much longer than 2 years ... I know, because I am vaping it right now.

yep, I am vaping some right now that I bought back in May 2012. So that tells me that it is still as good as new for at least 4 years. How I store my Nicotine

Purely a Personal Position. Term life would dictate less chance of AIR migration using Glass over industry heavy HDPE Bottles, though Leeching in Freezer storage would also be minimized, due to molecular slow down and Product Safety Standards.

To be certain that you are choosing a bottle that does not leach, check the recycling symbol on your bottle. If it is a #2 HDPE (high density polyethylene), or a #4 LDPE (low density polyethylene), or a #5 PP (polypropylene), your bottle is fine.

Plastic Bottles: Are They Safe & What Do The Numbers Mean?

I am not saying All your supply can or should go plastic, however your Front end - short term product(1-5yrs minimum) Should not be adversely effected by unopened Plastic container storage.
