Please bear with me here as I am truly new to this D.I.Y. thing. I have a 60 ml bottle of unflavored nicotine I bought a few months ago from My Freedom Smokes which my wife and I use to kick up the nic level of some of our store bought e-juices when needed. Now that I am wanting to try the D.I.Y. method, I would like to use the unflavored nic-liquid I already have, but have some concerns and questions. At MFS, it says it can be vaped just as it is as long as the nic level is not too high, so that tells me that I should just be able to add flavoring if I want. What I have is a 60ml 25%PG/75%VG mix at 48 mg nic. I don't want to vape 48mg by any means and I would like to have it a 50/50 mix of PG/VG. I thought I would just order a bottle of 75%PG/25%VG with zero nic and mix them together to get a 50/50 mix with 24mg nic. That's simple math even for me, but they don't sell zero nic, so I move on to buying the 75%PG/25%VG with 24 mg nic, then mix it to get 50/50 with 36mg. My wife doesn't really understand the D.I.Y. thing yet so she can't help me, but tells me I always make things harder to understand than what they really are. I believe that I can also just add some PG or VG to the 48mg mix I already have to step it down. Would the PG/VG be equal to the zero nic I am looking for? If so, I may not even need to purchase any additional unflavored nic-liquid at this time.
Am I on the right track here, or even close?
*sigh* Last question. I was told to add a couple of drops of vodka to my carto to help clean the wicks and thin the juice out some. That has worked well, so far. I saw vodka listed on the "breakthru" calculator (water/vodka/pga) , but I have seen little about their use anywhere. Any comments? Thanks in advance for any help.
