nicotine level ?

e-liquids are measured in milliliters (a volume measurement) and have a nicotine level (18mg, 24mg... a weight measurement) printed on them. I assume this is a ratio of nicotine to liquid, but how much liquid? I don't think it is per bottle, because 18mg in a 5ml bottle would be twice as strong as 18mg in a 10ml bottle. What does this nicotine level actually mean?

18mg=1.8% of volume 24mg=2.4% etc.

Usually it is (?)mg per 1ml of liquid. 18mg per 1ml would be about 1.8% of a 1ml cartomizer if that helps.

I was wondering this as well. I am using 12mg liquid, and all i can think of is that there is 12mg of nicotine per 1ml of liquid.

It seems in doing the math, it comes out to about the same as the equation above. Correct?

Mine says "16mg (1.6% by weight). My guess is they're doing at as the molality

It means per ml. Also, if you see something that is a percentage like 1.8%, it means 18mg per ml. Hope that helps.
