Just reaching out to you guys here, to find out if any of you have experienced nic poisoning from vaping too much?

I'm a bit concerned here as over the weekend, I developed chronic ........, slight fever, and stomach pains, and it has lasted 3 days now.

I've been vaping quite a lot before and it has never happened, but then you just don't know when your body decides that enough is enough...

I don't wanna point the finger at vaping too quickly, but it started on Sunday. On Saturday night, I had some curry chicken and then, during the night I was happily vaping away in my bed watching a movie that was 2.5 hours long (can't remember what it was anymore, all my memories literally went down the toilet bowl).

The day after (Sunday), the ....tin' started. Still going now.

I read a lot about food poisoning as well as stomach viruses but the symptoms are way similar to nicotine O.D. - so if any of you had experienced this before, please chime in.

They are also classic symptoms of food poisoning....

I would bet it was the chicken and this is why... while nicotine poisoning symptoms might fit from my personal experience my body tells me to hold up LONG before I intake enough nicotine to get those type of symptoms. I usually get a little dizzy with a headache worst I've ever been I got nautious. I backed off and the symptoms subsided rather quickly I think about an hr the time I got nautious.

If you got nautious while vaping heavily and kept right on yeah it could be nic poisoning but if not I'd look to the chicken as the source.... or its possible you could've developed a sudden case of flu it does happen.

ShannonA:

Yeah! Exactly.. That's what i was thinking in my 2nd post! Thanks for confirming it. I mean, i've been OD'd on nicotine before, when i went on a plane flying to moscow. Long flight so i hit the nicotine patches.

I felt really uneasy, wanted to throw up immediately (but nothing came out), cold sweat... ... I just thought of this actually. Totally forgot about that incident. I took the patch off immediately, had some water and went to sleep. I recovered really quick too..didn't take days.

Thanks Shannon. This is definitely some curry or a flu.

Zapp: Thanks! Back to vaping then! I actually went back to analogues for the past 2 days thinking it might be the nic juice but now that I remembered what OD'ing on nic was actually like with patches, I know it ain't the vaping.

Thanks for taking the time guys, you made my day.

Hey ML I'd try to go real light on the vaping until your syptoms subside. I'm willing to bet you're dehydrated alreayd and as you know vaping will dehydrate you more and like Zapp said if you don't wake up over it I'd see a doc.

MY pleasure :) I made a noob mistake when I started out myself, and didn't wash off a decent amount of liquid immediately. Same symptoms as you and a 101 degree fever as well. Felt terrible until morning :) Good on yer mate!

Just want to finalize this thread. What actually happened was a stomach bug - virus. Thing lasted exactly 7 day. Wasn't food poisoning for sure.

Back to vaping even more than before and no stomach weirdness.

Thanks guys for all your feedback. Hopefully this thread will help future noobs who run into overdose questions.

Oh just another note:

I am NOT getting:

- dizziness
- headaches
- nausea
- vomiting
- cold sweats
- confusion

These are all supposedly nicotine overdose symptoms, including the .........

I'm starting to think this is definitely a bug or a food poisoning related issue. Please chime in anyone.

I experienced the symptoms you were NOT getting when I first started vaping, without the vomiting. The only thing that made it go away was to stay in bed for about 4-5 hours, and then I was completely fine again.

Stop vaping when you get a headache.

Drink plenty of water because if you vape a lot you might be forgetting to get enough fluids and be dehydrating, especially in the summer.

Take antacids for stomach discomfort.
