Time to open this thread back up guys. The symptoms have returned, just not as bad as before. And this was only a few weeks ago that I suffered that bout of the fever and stuff. I think that was probably a stomach bug, but this one is definitely milder and vaping related.

I've been vaping 5 months now and there's been no issues. Usually the mild headache and dizziness if i vape too much.

This time, it's straight to the upset stomach. It's not really bad but my stomach's been rumbling around for the past 3 days.
The only thing I can pick out here is that, I've recently ordered some doublers from TastyVapors.. I think 40 % VG and 60% PG.

Mix my own nic in there at about 16 mg's. THe guys at TastyVapors put in "extra flavoring" to make the flavors super strong for the mix down... so it's more than what they normally sell in a premixed bottle.

Do you guys think that the stomach upsets may be due to the strong flavoring?

My stomach feels bloated and it's moving around a lot.

At around 5 months I started feeling pretty odd, but I never had stomach upsets. I would get dizzy, my heart would start pounding, and I'd have an elevated pulse. The funny thing was that I didn't vape that much. I narrowed it down to certain DIY flavorings I had just gotten that I think are either no good to use for me personally, or were chemically altered as a result of shipping in the extremely hot summer.

I think people's mileage may vary wildly with this type of issue. Just because I never had any stomach issues doesn't mean that another person might not experience those symptoms.

I would try systematically removing components that may be making you sick. Start with what has changed, which seems to be the flavoring. Maybe make a very very light flavored juice, and see if that helps. After trying this, if there is no change, step down the nicotine, etc.

Also, do you notice immediate symptoms as you vape?

A few people (myself included) have experienced an unexpected drop in nicotine tolerance over time (i've had to drop my nicotine levels a couple of times because i started to get my body's 'slow down' messages at a nic level i'd been comfortable vaping previously). That said, I still can't guess whether it's likely to be the nicotine, a reaction to the flavoring or something unrelated. I agree with the advise to systematically vary the components and see what changes

Thanks for the feedback guys.

* I vape sometimes non stop, but most of the time I toot on it every 5 mins or so. It's hard to say, it really really varies :(

Today, I switched back to a premade flavor with nic premixed, and the symptoms seem to be subsiding. I don't know if it's because the previous "OD" has chemicals leaving my system or not. Looks like this is going to be a very long term trial and error thing, so I was hoping to cut down the suspects with your help.

There's no more rumbling of the stomach today but I know I'm not 100% yet. There's a slight , very slight bloat.

CES: You might be right. It could be my body finally telling me it has had enough of nicotine automatically lowered its tolerance. If it is that, then i'm going to be pretty disappointed coz I might have to vape less which would increase my cravings.

On the other hand, if it was the STRONG/extra flavoring that tastyvapor put in there, then the answer is easy, just buy regular doublers. The flavor hit might be less but I'll have to put up with it.

Anyone else here suffer from rumbling tummies due to vaping?

I never have gotten problems with my stomach from vaping.

But I have gotten nicotine poising, and you'll know you've got it when you do get it. I knew I was vaping too much of too high of nic, but I loved the flavor so much I just kept going. If you've ever chewed, you'll know what I mean when you feel it in your throat first. Then I was very hot and feverish, dizzy, and exhasted. Stopped vaping for a couple hours and returned to normal. Cut down my nic after that and no prob.

And your body is pretty good (at least mine is) with adjusting to your nicotine level after a couple days, whether it be higher or lower. Regardless, the only way to get nicotine poising really, is if you know your vaping way to high and to much, and you keep going, or if you spill high nic on your skin and don't clean it up fast enough. I'm sure there are other ways, but those are the ones you got to worry about for the most part. Hope this helps.

Right,

so if it's not really nic poisoning, do you think it's a PG or VG related issue then? Or a flavoring that's disagreeing with my stomach?

Sensitivity to PG is possible, but it's fairly uncommon and rarely causes more than a headache so if it's vape related at all, flavoring is the most likely suspect. What flavor(s) do you use?
