Toxicology of organic chemicals is always tricky business

These LD50 quantities are established on mice and rats. But mice ain't men :)

Heard that there are certain grasses that are very dangerous for horses, yet they have no ill effects on cattle.

Metabolism is as individual as looks : If 100 people will do them same weight-loss-program with a special diet, about 20 percent will loose rapdily, and about 15% will actually gain weight....

Same with vaping. Some enjoy the lo-nic, others feel comfortable at the top end of the scale.

As the others said: Overall dosage and absorption rate is low enough for you to 'feel it coming'. Body tells ya when it had enough of a nic-fix.

And common sense still applies...

Anyone notice the new studies with"lower nicotine cigarettes"? As if its the nicotine in the cigarette that's the big bad monster...not one of the other 4000 or so chemicals and carcinogens......sheesh

I remember that well. All the hype about extremely low nic and tar. Got nixed largely by regulatory authorities. Cuz it was all a sham.
Nich and tar levels are established by letting a special machine do the smoking. These cigs had specially designed filters. Worked fine for tricking machines.
Humans just smoked more or puffed harder.

So now it's the other way...tobacco leaves with lower nic levels...

Great new concept - not .

DIYers doin custom nic levels all the time...

Welcome to second place in the race, Mr. BT ;)

One thing I have not seen mentioned here is that when you continually expose yourself to something, your body can naturally tend to form an immunity to its effects. Nicotine is no exception here. Point being, what may be a toxic level for someone who has never smoked may not be dangerous to someone who's been smoking (or vaping) for several years. There are numerous sources on the internet with information about the LD50 of nicotine, but at the end of the day it all comes down to your own biology. There is a reason that these things are marketed for adults. You have to be responsible about it. Instead of focusing on a number to avoid, familiarize yourself with the symptoms of nicotine poisoning. Whenever you try a new flavor and/or nicotine level of juice, start out slow and small. Pay attention to how your body reacts. The key to safety - for specifically you and specifically your body - is not going to be found on a wikipedia page. It's all about what you need and what your body can handle - and never forget that this will be different for everyone, and that even your needs will change over time. You are your own best insight into the answer to your question.

well spoken riannon i was trying to convey this in what i said but lost my train of thought lol!
