Hey everyone. Well I posted in this forum once before because over the years I've been thinking of trying a Reo, and I'm finally approaching... probably... maybe... considering one. ;) I am just getting sick and tired of wasting my money on piles of vaping gear, not being satisfied with the vape, and repeating the cycle. "Oh, what's that? Kanger released its 20th clearo in a year, and it vapes exactly like all of the older ones? Well, surely I need to buy 2 of them." :p

But here's my question: I was reading a closed thread from last year about nicotine strength and Reos, and peoples' answers intrigue me. The majority of people said they were still using 12mg-18mg nic in their Reos. This surprises me, because when you read RDA/dripping threads people say they need to go down to maybe 3mg-6mg in order to avoid nausea/dizziness.

Does anyone want to try to explain this? Is there a reason for the difference, or is it just because reonauts are insane? :) I'm just asking because all of my juice is 18mg currently and I wouldn't want to have to buy ALL new juice (or dilute the flavor with zero nic flavorless). Thanks, appreciate it.

*sits back, relaxes, and waits for super_X to school me*

I can't speak for a lot of folks, but for me when I got into rebuildables I went from 24mg down to 12mg pretty quickly. Since getting my REO back in February I have gone down to about 3mg and soon to 0mg. I think it is a combination of fresh juice on demand, (squonked), from the device and a good RDA on top that has made this possible. My setup is a REO grand and a Vicious Ant Cyclone w/ AFC. I usually run a 27-29ga 1Ω micro coil with Ready_X_Wick. The REO is what I would consider the end all device for all my vape needs and I am glad that all I need to really buy anymore is liquid, wire, and wicking media on a regular basis. I am just sitting back and enjoying my vaping journey right now and not looking back...

For me I dropped my nic level from 15mg down to 9'ish and I had to dilute my juice. The flavor was so overpowering that it did not taste as good. I mix all my unflavored base at 9 and I use what ever juice I have 18-6mg. Since I only use about 25-30% flavoring the average mg stays close to the same.

I am a flavor chaser and only play with sub-ohm on weekends. All my daily drivers have a coil right at 1ohm and the taste is off the charts. When I get down to a .5ohm I can tell that my nic level is to much. If I vaped sub-ohm every day I would definitely have to lower the nic.

I am not sure how many others dilute their juice but I do believe that most have lowered their nic a bit.

Hey bro! ol _X cant school ya but I can share my thoughts :)

I started with 24 mg but about a year ago my normal mild anxiety that revolved around being in a car started to get really bad. I cut way back on caffein ( I used to down anywhere from 2 to 12 shots of espresso a day ) and learned that nicotine can increase anxiety. I was vaping allot too. So I cut my nic to 12 mg.

Well neither cutting my nic to 12 mg and reducing caffeine seemed to help (it certainly didn't hurt either I guess ). I also didn't notice any decrease in satisfaction in vaping - it tasted the same - delicious :).

When I was diagnosed with GAD, several months later, I reduced my nic to 6 mg. Again, no noticable difference in the vape or the way I felt. But now I roll 6 mg in like 95% VG unflavored exclusively. I vape all I want and never get a nic buzz, hell, I don't even know what a nic buzz these kids talk about is. I can tell you that my simple, efficient micro coil builds wicked with KGD yield all the vapor I could ever want. I vape to replace cigs not as a sport. And replace cigs it did. In spades. I'll NEVER smoke again. In august it'll be two years since my last Marlboro light.

I remember getting a nice head rush when I first started smoke cigs and every time I would restart smoking after attempts to quit.

I never get them vaping.

So 6mg in mostly VG unflavored is my ticket :)

Some seriously helpful (and fast) replies, thanks guys. So it sounds like if I take the Reo plunge I will definitely want to have lower nic juice. Oh well, at least it would give me an excuse to try more Nicoticket and Ahlusion flavors. ;)

I could never stop drinking coffee though! Ha

This is exactly what I keep reading and seeing in Reo videos over the years, and I think I'm almost ready to try it for myself. I think a lot of us are after the same thing. I just want to be able to stop obsessing over what the next thing is that I feel I "need" to buy, and just vape carefree knowing I've found the perfect combination of mod and atty/tank/whatever for me.

I was at 18 but dropped to 15. I go through more juice so I could get a nic rush. But as Rattlerx said the flavor increase of a small chamber RBA like the RM2 makes it so you can dilute and not miss any flavor. That drop is only adding 5ml of VG to 25ml of flavored 18mg to get 30ml of 15mg juice

Yup, I have definitely experienced this. When I attempted to get into dripping I had an IGO-L and a Smok Octopus. Most people prefer the IGO because it has a bigger chamber and stock air hole so they could get bigger clouds. But personally I preferred the Smok because it was smaller and I got a warmer more flavorful vape. But I'm not a cloud chaser, I do this to avoid chain smoking $10 packs of cigarettes. The only reason I got rid of the RDAs was I am too lazy to drip constantly. Haha. Hmm, if only someone made a mod that allowed you to use an RDA without having to drip into it--hey, wait a second!

I fought with everyone and myself for 2 years about the REO,I felt it was over priced / over hyped and too many devices that could deliver the same or more... After wasting those 2 years and a ton of money I finally gave in and almost everyday I ask myself, why did I have to be so stubborn and stupid? The money and time I would have saved in that time frame I could have bought at least 5 more grands!!!

Hassle free vaping lifestyle. I can grab any REO off the shelf right now and other than filling the bottle and throwing in a battery I can walk out the door and not think twice. When I get back it goes back in the rack and the next day I will take another one. Other than an occasional cleaning and dry burn of the coil/replace cotton it is as simple as it can get and will never miss a beat.

I read a classified listing for a 100W device and thought why in the world would I ever need anything more than another color REO. Someone should let it fly out of their pocket at 40mph while riding a bike and see if it survives....lol Yes there are pics of a REO that still vapes like crazy after a nice tumble.

If your on the fence you should give it a shot and see if it works for you. If you would like send me a pm with address and I will send you a loaner for you to try.

Mike, I remember you bitc h slapping and even catching me on the backhand re-bi t ch slap on me when I was a mere vaping / REO noob out there criticizing others for vaping other gear.

You were key in helping me realize the error in my ways, but I was just so enamored with the REOs - I thought everyone should be. Lesson learned after an ice pack to each side of my face :)

Now you are among my favorite homies here on ECF and the day you got your REO made me very happy because you would be in the same areas I like to hang and we could rock this deal together. I'm glad you are here. You shoot straight, no bulls hit. I like it.

Thanks for the tough love my brother.

Rock on. :)

And just look at how the tables have turned!!! I have went back and read some of my posts and I was brutal man! It was all you my brotha, you saved me and showed me the way. I think it was the way you would never really shove the REO at me. You always took a calmer more sensible approach to it all and just told me when I was ready I would know it. Thanks for waking me up bro...

Whaaaat? No way, get out of here. I could never ask anyone to do that, but thank you. That's one of the nicest things I've seen on the forum.

That's how we roll around here. There are some amazing people around these parts that showed me the way.
I have a spare so it would not be much trouble at all. Think it over and let me know.

4am is going to come early here so I am off to find my pillow.

Thats just what happens when you travel over to Reoville, you not only get a awesome vape but you get a awesome community to go with it.

As far as the nic level, I think it's more about the build than the device. Ran 12mg with all my tanks, 6mg with the drippers, tried 0mg but missed the throat hit so my current level is 3mg. I hang between .2-.7ohms if that helps any.

Well, thanks again everyone. This is definitely one of the most active and faithful sub-forums here on ECF.

My finger keeps slipping on and off of the trigger, but JUST in case, I might as well ask this. Does Rob have an order cutoff time for what ships Wednesday and what has to wait until Friday?

Not sure, but don't wait

DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO.

Just kidding. :D

Yeah, I know I should just place an order. But by asking if there's an order cutoff time I can continue to procrastinate, second guess, and analyze for as long as possible. It's a talent of mine.

Very seldom do you see a post saying. big mistake I should not have ordered this. However you do see posts every week that say I should have ordered this sooner, would have saved myself wasting all the money chasing the latest.

You'll even find several sold my Reo and tried x,y and z. It was a big mistake, I just ordered another Reo.
