With all the chemicals in cigarettes, why is nicotine the only chemical available to quit them?

It's clear from all the research I've done here along with the quit smoking techniques I've tried myself that any new nicotine delivery system may or may not work.

That's not to discourage anyone here on their accomplishments with this system at all. It's wonderful that so many have found a way that finally works. I have great respect and admiration for anyone who can get out from under the slavery of cigarettes.

However, there are many veterans of vapping that continue to battle cigarettes. And thus my question.

Why isn't there a delivery system of any of the other chemicals we are addicted to besides nicotine? What are they waiting for? To me the problem is clear why the quit techniques don't work for each and every person trying to quit.

You are absolutely right.

There is a percentage of smokers who cannot successfully switch to an e-cigarette no matter how much nicotine is supplied and no matter how efficient the device is (i.e. with full vapor production). There is an ongoing debate about what this percentage is, but it certainly seems that more than 25% of smokers will still experience cravings, either for an extended time period or even permanently, after switching, even when all factors are optimal.

We also know that almost all of these persons have their issue fixed if they add Snus to their program.

This is why there are now two vendors of WTA e-liquid, that is to say liquid with a full spectrum of active tobacco alkaloids and not just nicotine. The beneficial alkaloids are:

nicotine
nornicotine
anabasine
anatabine
myosmine

You can search 'wta liquid' on ECF and locate those vendors.
