Nifty addition to kit bag

When I first got my 901 kit last week I was using a toothpick to push the filler aside a bit when refilling carts and planning to get a plastic toothpick as soon as I got to the store. I didn't like the idea that the wooden toothpick was absorbing juice that I was therefore throwing away and it was a PITA to have to go get a new toothpick every time I wanted to top off a cart. After wracking my brain to think of what I had around the house that was the right size, length and didn't absorb, I found a big safety pin (about 2-2 1/2 inches long) and started using that. I can stick it down in the cart between the filler and the side and drip against it and it makes it fill from the bottom up, and when I'm done I wipe it off and hook it thru the hole in the zipper pull of the little leather bag I keep my juice and extra parts in so that I don't lose it and it's handy whenever I need it without having to search thru the bag for it.

BTW, have had the DSE901 since Wens. the 24th of June and haven't wanted an analog since. After smoking 1 1/2 packs a day for 23 years this seems like a miracle.

I use the straw method and it works for me. I still need a toothpick now and again though. The straw I use is one from a juice box!

A safety pin hooked to the bag zipper is a good idea, it's always good when you can find what you need quickly.

Saftey pins work great. Make sure they are not too big so they dont smush up your cart filler when you put the pin down the side. I find that using a longer thinner pin works best for me. Dripping against the pin also works great for me, much less filling of carts (a very nice thing for an M401 user hehe)

A good size, straightened paper clip seems like the best tool for this, no?

I liked the paper clip, I just kept losing it. As my mom always told me, I'd lose my head if it wasn't screwed on tight . The pin I'm using is about the thickness of a paper clip.
