I've not for a long time been an active participant, but I did cut my teeth here beginning back in September of 09. This past holiday marked two things, I'm now 56 and I have been tobacco free for Nine years. Never once way back then when I ordered my blu did I conceive it would become a part of my daily life. It, being the hobby that saved me from all respiratory issues after years of many bouts of chronic bronchitis due to smoking for 30 years. Nor did I fathom the years of experimentation in our formative years, if you remember fluval - you know. I hung on to carto tanks way too long as building sub ohm was a true panacea. The next obvious decision was to diy liquid - I mostly rip recipes but have a couple worthy contenders of my own. I stopped by to say this does work and I am proof it works. It does work my last nerve that after this long I still have to hear the same save the children rhetoric as I did way back then. The beauty of this whole deal - short of hardware - is no one can tell me what I can't do. If I must I can brush up on my soldering skills. I won't get political here as you can read my beliefs above. I've done my part for advocacy but I'm not made of money.
For the curious, my 2 daily drivers are both aegis 100's
one with a Blitzen the other an Intake
Usually with two more in the backpack
the pretty dna's stay at home
and I just got off the fence and got a pulse 80 with a recurve
I tend to avoid hyped/branded products but these work well and that is the best you can ask from anything or anybody.

There it is - as brief as I could.
Prohibition has never worked - they can try but no one can stop me now
DIY people - the solution to the nanny state
Yam seng belters!

It took about four or five years before I even saw anyone else vaping in public. My first ecig was bought from amazon and the directions were in chinese. Replacement atomizers were about $20 a pop in a mall kiosk near me. Today'' s new vapers have so many options at their disposal.

We're survivors! All of the guys that vaped when we did were nothing but heros. Really it sucked back then.
Me, I'll turn 10 in January. Hasn't been a bed of roses but better than smoking certainly!

What's going on my friend, just celebrated my nine year anniversary also. Don't go on the forums much anymore, if we don't know what we're doing by now there's no hope. I hope you're doing well and I need to start playing trivia again.
Cheers pal and thanks and congrats. I'm well, playing still got a tele! and yeah play some trivia - I still do solo, it's my daily mental dipstick. I should get some folks here to play - another day. We should chat sometime, here or there. you were always good people

All that, and an Expanse quote to boot!
Ya know with the campaign to keep the show alive I bet on more reaction to that - but cheers chad for your thanks and sci-fi savvy. I see us as the belters - the outsiders seeking a voice and proper respect amongst the many in this world or the others to come - again Yam Seng.

wide awake at 3 am with the mind wandering I thought I might just drop a few musings. My/Our problem is the FDA and their vacillation as to policy. I like to think I foresaw this and took action via DIY liquid and my virgin attempts at fancy coils. For the beginner to intermediate - I highly recommend investigating these avenues as not only to save considerable amounts of cash but to be self-sufficient if everything goes awry. This is a serious possible concern. We'll see, but if you are not building and mixing already - consider it - pm me if you wish, i can help get ya started. (Avoid liquid barn other than vanilla ice cream and root beer.)
cheers
Mike
edit to add - I should probably post this to elsewhere - where more can see it
good night

Congratulations Slighter. Me too, me too me too, approaching 7 years tobacco free (the FDA's definition of tobacco notwithstanding). Me too, the advocacy efforts. Me too, the DIY efforts, some.

Thank you for the post, and best wishes for continued success.
