Greetings Everyone!

Many of you may recognize me as V Ninja, the guy behind the scenes of "that blog".

I have been hard at work designing and developing an advanced hybrid personal vaporizer, among other things, and am proud to present Ninja mods, and the new Odachi AHPV.

Key features include:

-Single Piece design: Entire battery tube and atomizer assembly is machined from a single piece of material.

-Adjustable air control from 0-1.5mm.

-Automatic battery adjustment system intuitively adjusts to fit your battery as you tighten the switch.

-Bottom button, short-throw <1mm, slightly recessed switch.

-18650 or 18350 versions

-Will be made in a range of materials, starting with SS 304/316.

-Dual O-rings for the top cap.

-Thick Pyrex tank to resist falls and general abuse; Custom, fully-worked Swag tanks will be available.

-Width:22.225mm, length varies depending on configuration.

-Reduced Chamber design, 3mm single wick hole; 4-5ml tank capacity (650), 3ml capacity (350)

My original vision was to create a hybrid that spared no expense when it comes to the conductivity. This meant combining all contacts that normally would be threaded or press-fit into a single piece of metal; Originally, my vision was an anodized aluminium hybrid, but due to the backlash against the use of aluminium in PV's, I have since made the decision to make them mainly out of Stainless. At this time, all production and finishing will be in the USA. I anticipate a highly-polished finish, as I'm a sucker for shiny things.

Let me know what you think! If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to PM me anytime.

Thanks so much for your support of this new and exciting venture! I hope to serve the community to the best of my abilities, as this is truly A Device By Vapers, For Vapers. All suggestions will be considered for use in the final design!

My timeline is about 1-2 weeks until the prototypes are in my hands, and about 1 month to six weeks from today, I should have units available for purchase. Retail price is as of now undetermined.

Very cool Ninja. I would love it even more if you kept to the original plan of making these aluminum. As far as I know anodized aluminum is safe. For example all research shows that anodized aluminum cookware are very safe. If it safe to cook food at high temperatures in anodized aluminum cookware it should be very safe in ecigs as well. It would be awesome to have an all aluminum Hybrid.

Thanks guys!!

There WILL BE an Aluminium run! I guarantee that!! I want an all-aluminium hybrid as much as some of you all do.

The theory behind that is simple, as EDO and others will know: A device made of a single piece of aluminium, with as few bottlenecks in the contacts and the rest of the device as possible, will be the epitome of what can be expected from a device conductivity-wise. In short, it can't get much better (depending on how you structure the contacts). Of course, the other features of the device also have to be up to par or better.

I've always been- and always will be- about the science behind the perfect vape. It's really awesome when a well-engineered design also looks amazing!

And, I'm always willing to listen to feedback! So if you have any questions or suggestions, let me know!

How about Serial #s?

Disclaimer: I'm a friend and also an apprentice of sorts of Faceless, and a fan of his work and philosophy surrounding the iHybrid; I'm more inclined to offer special versions rather than serial numbers. But what does the community think?

Remember, this is a device made BY vapers, FOR vapers...it is as much yours as it is mine (sort of). So if you would like, please let us know your thoughts, this is a truly open forum!

i personally would love an 18350/18500 version as i find they are usually much more pocket-able. totally willing to give up battery life for portability. limited editions are cool and all, but usually end up in the hands of mod collectors and typically resale for crazy prices or are used as trading commodities (not necessarily a bad thing).

i'm not sure how i feel about limited edition runs since i usually end up not using it and just using the "regular" version. i would much rather be able to pick and choose different finishes or materials.

like you, i'm much more interested in finding the perfect vape, albeit, packaged beautifully. :)

Absolutely! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The extreme example of what you describe would be the Caravela- A device with 64 different combinations of finishes, materials, and sizes. Not sure if that is feasible for the Odachi, as I would like the hybrid to be as readily-available as possible. But I also want to avoid the other extreme- having every device be carbon-copies of each other.

Time will tell when it comes to how intricate the customization options will be. Perhaps there will be an Odachi Custom option for dramatically different options.

Happy easter (or spring solstice) everyone!

Just an update for everyone-

Things are coming along very well. Everything is on schedule so far, and my prototype should be ready for display soon. A couple of additions:

-there will be 3 versions...18350, 500, and 650.

-Eventually, the final product will be engraved with Kanji (traditional Japanese calligraphy). This may or may not make it on the first production runs.

-Smaller tank: Due to popular demand AND a worldwide shortage of a certain part, I will be shortening the tank on 18500/350 models effective immediately; This will yield a tank volume of 3.5 ml. Additionally, this will lessen the need for tilting.

-There will be limited edition runs, but never serial numbers. Models will be discernable from each other by minute (and sometimes more significant) details.

That's all for now! PM me or comment below, let us know what you think! Remember, this is a close-knit community, we must all stick together!
