Hairball... I received a package yesterday but I wasn't expecting anything to come in yet. It turned out to be a 30mL bottle of Goldrush! And it tastes great, just like the first bottle did!

Gene sent a personal reply along with it. You know, he's got to be super busy lately but he took the time to write back and send a $10 bottle of juice. This man is serious about his business.

I go from vendor to vendor, with juice purchases especially, but I think I'm going to do a lot of business with Nite Lite Vapor. How can you beat the value and customer service you get with NLV?

So... had a little get-together at my house tonight and after passing some cartos around found out that Goldrush and BWB's Malty are indistinguishable by 100% of my guests. People thought I had mislabeled the same carto so we filled up some new ones. I haven't really tried my Goldrush (been steeping for about 3 weeks and just started in on a lot of other juices), but was pleasantly surprised to find that they were right.

I'm not saying that any company is trying to duplicate any other company's juice or anything here, just saying there's definitely a very clean ethyl maltol taste to Goldrush. Great juice, it's right up there with US Marshall as the run away favorites of the 5 NLV juices I have (BH, RY4 and Caparillo are the other 3). I really really like US Marshall.

Just a quick question: When I first vaped the Goldrush juice, I absolutely LOVED it. It tasted just like an analog, traditional cigarette flavor, but it had this, I don't know, undefinable and I almost want to say sweet or semi-sweet flavor to it that I really, really enjoyed. But after a couple days, that taste--that flavor I would go back and buy more and more of--vanished in the juice. That's when I decided to mentholate it with some of the Alien Visions menthol drops, just 2, didn't want to go overboard. And now I have a mentholated blah taste when before, after the taste I loved vanished, I just had a blah taste. Kind of like smoking an analog. Just blah. So, my quick question that has become long, LOL, is where'd that flavor go? And am I the only one who tasted it? Thanks for reading and many thanks for replying. And if you can nail down that flavor, a thousand thanks, because it was just so good!

Your taste buds might have become dead to the flavor. Happens to a lot of us that continue to only vape one flavor for long periods of time. Try switching to another flavor for a day or so and come back to the Gold rush.

You can't! Gene has one of the best customer service in the entire vaping world. It's almost undefeatifiable LOL Glad everything worked out for you and welcome to the fan club!

Max, you can't beat that. Gene is awesome. Makes the best tobacco based juices I've tried and the customer service you get is outstanding.

Sorry I haven't been on here lately. I had surgery on the 15th and have been clunky...just popping in here and there.

For those of you who are interested in NLV's juices, you can't go wrong on quality, pricing, and customer service. If you go to the website but see that the eliquids have been taken offline, don't panic. Gene does this when he gets swamped with orders and needs to catch up. Also, please expect a delay of at least 1-3 days until your order gets shipped. He doesn't have very many helpers helping him so he does the best he can do but trust us, it's worth the wait.

SmokingWater...vape something different for a couple of days and drink plenty of water. It isn't the juice that has changed, it's your buds. I have this happen sometimes myself. When you go back to vaping the juice, you'll be able to taste it again. Keep us updated.

birdbrains...I don't think Gene tries to imitate another vendor's juices. I've tried all of BWB's and didn't care for them but that was way back when I first quit smoking. I need to try them again. I don't see any resemblance of Goldrush and what I can remember about BWB's Malty but we all taste things differently. Just my 2 cents worth.........

Yeah, seems they're down at the moment. Just went to place an order and it morphed me into a sad panda. Happened the last time I decided to hop in and try a few, as well. I have the uncanny ability to show up at the worst times, like that uncle we all feared seeing come Thanksgiving time.

Will be hounding the site this time until I see stuff come back up. I'm DYING to try these!!!

The No Match Menthol if awesome. It's the closest menthol cig flavor I've ever tried and I've tried a bunch. It doesn't taste like a cough drop either. It's not overpowering. Great flavor, vapor, and throat hit. Just a fabulous flavor. Hubby doesn't care too much to vape a bunch of menthol but he liked this one. I have to wait a bit and place another order...LOL. We like to keep Gene busy!

I give it a score of 5 across the board.

GoldRush is off the menu. Gene can't get the flavorings for it anymore. It's one that I'll miss.

I just comparison-vaped Malty and Goldrush, and strangely enough I too can see the resemblance. My particular bottle of Malty (now five months old) is slightly sweeter, with just a tiny bit of saltiness, with no tobacco flavor at all, and an odd side flavor that I can't identify (maybe a by-product of the malt). Goldrush is a bit "cleaner" tasting to me (not to suggest that Malty is "impure" by contrast, just not as straightforward). I appreciate both juices for the subtlety of their sweetness, rather than the more aggressive, in-your-face sucralose sweetness of so many candy-flavored liquids.

Besides the surprise that Malty and Goldrush are indeed similar, the most curious discovery for me is that Goldrush has surprisingly little tobacco flavor. I never noticed that before. But then, all of NLV's tobacco blends are like that. I guess a critic might say that they are lacking or weak in tobacco flavor, but---since I like NLV juices---I prefer to think of the tobacco element as more nuanced.

Sad that Goldrush will no longer be offered by NLV. And so it goes...

In my order last night I posed the same question about Gold Rush in the comments section of the check out (something I normally refrain from doing). I had an e-mail from Gene this morning explaining the situation. I'm sure I'm just one of many he's had to send such a response to about Gold Rush, and that extra attention already makes him an ace in my book.

Now to sit back and wait in bouncing anticipation to sample the product!

Hairball's post hit it on the head. Here's an excerpt from the e-mail:

"Unfortunately Goldrush is off NLV's menu until our US e-liquid supplier
can source one of the main base flavors in making Goldrush which was
discontinued by their flavor manufacturer without notice.

We have disappointed customers at this point over the demise of Goldrush
so we have been testing many different combinations ourselves to try and
find a similar flavor close to Goldrush if not right on spot. Hopefully
we will succeed.

Thank you for your inquiry. We sincerely value our customers. Welcome
aboard!"

You will be doin' a little dance when you try them! Since he has to put them out so fast you may have to let them steep. Most will taste great right from the get-go. You can let it steep in the carto (covered of course ) and try it every day till it gets to where you love it.

No problem, just wanted to make sure that people seen what Connie said and not being buried under the other threads. Anyways, your gonna be loving the juices once you get it. NLV is one of the only vendors I consistently order from.

VERY good to know. Just ordered a 10ml sample of it with my last order to test it out. Maybe I should've ordered the 30ml...

I just ordered their US Marshal and Bounty Hunter. Their prices are excellent... best I've actually found if you include shipping (correct me if there are less expensive ones and/or less expensive ones with equal or greater quality). I just wish they had a wider selection. I want to get good French Toast flavor at their price (lumped in with my future orders of BH and USM)
