Hi to all of you brave vapers,

I just ordered a free trial from smokingeverywhere. I would have rather found something that is free of diethylene glycol and nitrosamines. I don't know if they are. Does anyone know of any?? I figured i'd start with a free trial to see if i can convert at all. I may just hate it. I found one import that claims it does not have these chemicals but this forum won't let me post the url until i've posted 15 times.
If i like it i am also interested in affiliate marketing the product. Another overwhelming venture.

I am like many of you doing this for health reasons. Very grave ones! I am only 37 and I have poor circulation chest pain and many other problems and really want (have) to give up analogs. I smoke about 5 cigarettes per day and hope to give it up. Thats why i hope vaping works for me. I also want to tell all my friends and loved ones who smoke about this. I am very amped up. We'll see if that lasts when i get my free trial.

Your support is welcome

Cheers,
Sarah

First of all, welcome to the forum.
I did not know that Smoking Everywhere was doing a free trial. How much are they charging for the e-cig after the trial is over. The reason I ask is because a lot of people here complain about the high price. Other than that I think the 4081 they sell is a pretty good unit. I have one myself.

I don't know what juice is free of diethylene glycol and nitrosamines but i'm sure someone here does.

Thanks for the welcome,

I'll keep your recommendation in mind.

I just paid $9.95 for the shipping we'll see what comes in the starter kit. I can't post the url but i'm sure you can find it on their site. I assume i'll become quite the e cigarette collector by the time i find one i like. I could even display them in a pretty glass cabinet. Some of them are really cool looking, lol.

The trace amounts of those chemicals were found in one cartridge in a quick check by the FDA on July 22 and not since that time. But many suppliers have tightened up quality control since that time.

If you end up 'hating it' don't think that all ecigarettes are like the one you are doing the trial with, because they are not. You might do a search here on 'Smoking everywhere'. Luckily you are on a trial and didn't pay the $150 for a starter kit that some here have. And yes, some manage to make the best of it, but again, don't judge all ecigarettes or the ecigarette experience on the one that you'll receive. Eg. you can get one of the best starter kits available - the Joye 510 for $35 here:

Joye 510 with PCC

One of the best quality Juices here:
ECOpure juice

Read about it here:

You're getting some great advice here. I think you'll do very well with vaping, because you've got the best reason to quit analogs, your health. I think it's a little harder to quit smoking for those who are still relatively healthy and feel few ill effects from smoking.

With your health problems, you may want to vape 0% nicotine but good-tasting flavored juices. 5 cigarettes a day can't be supplying you with a lot of nicotine, so maybe you can get away with vaping juices with no nicotine in them. That's my personal goal.

Good luck and happy vaping! :)

To talk a bit about nitrosamines:

First, we want to make sure you actually read the FDA's report and not a bad interpretation of it via the media. You'll find the report in PDF format here: FDA Study of E-cigarettes

Okay, now that you've familiarized yourself with the study head over to EPIC (European Prospective Investigation of Cancer) and look into their PDF regarding nitrosamine content in your foods. (It's the PDF at the bottom labeled "Nitrosamines and Nitrosamine Precursors")

Now compare the levels of nitrosamines found in e-cigarettes to the nitrosamines in bacon, salami, sour milk products, cured ham, and our beloved beef. That's right, beef and ham are more of a threat.

Think beef is bad? Wait till you see the results for cosmetics at Skin Deep: Cosmetic Safety Reviews.

facial moisturizer/treatment (1561)shampoo (1558)moisturizer (1301)body wash/cleanser (1294)hair color and bleaching (1197)facial cleanser (1083)anti-aging (917)mascara (891)foundation (618)nail polish (590)sunscreen: SPF 15-30 (556)styling gel/lotion (512)conditioner (507)hair spray (431)exfoliant/scrub (416)sunscreen: makeup (333)

....

The FDA found nitrosamines... but only because they were looking REALLY ****ing hard.

Oh no! E-cigs contain an ingredient found in antifreeze!!!!

(Oh, and also in many different food items, liquid medications, health and beauty aids, gel deodorant, and a few thousand other products we use or ingest every single day that are deemed safe. But let's just let the public freak out about the whole antifreeze thing. It's much more dramatic.)

First off, I love your avitar nowheregirl! Its the spider from James and the Giant Peach! One of my fave kid movies!

Totally Wicked lists the results of GC-MS (gas chromatography-mass spectrometry) analysis of their 36 mg unflavored e-juice. No DEG present, and no nitrosamines, in the limits of detection, which are extremely low with GC-MS. Other compounds listed are not carcinogenic.

Lab Reports / About the fluid / Totally Wicked eLiquid / Electronic Cigarette eLiquid Store

It is my hope that this completely professional and excellent example by Totally Wicked will be followed by other juice companies. I'm sure others are doing this, but TW is the only one this noob is aware of currently. And noob I certainly still am. But I am also a chemist, and so this was the kind of info I was looking for to make a good decision on juice and feel confident I am indeed doing something far more safe than tobacco burning.

After all, the last thing a good company would want is to give an excuse for the FDA to shut it down or ban ecigs completely. If all companies did this from the beginning, there would be much less issue with the FDA.

Totally awesome, Totally Wicked!! Hard core science will rule this technology, as it should.

I also ordered a 14 day free trial from Smoking Everywhere - it's been 13 days and I have yet to receive it, although I did get my charge for $9.95. I called and cancelled last week and got a 510 kit from Innovapor and I love it! Remember, if you do receive your free trial and don't want to do the autoship program, you'll have to return your free trial to them.

Somehow that doesn't seem to qualify as free in my everyday definition of ordinary language terminology.

Also FYI: Here in Central Texas they've apparently been running late-nite TV ads from an outfit called "EasySmoker" promoting a "Totally FREE- e-Cig" offer. The pitch is that you get an absolutely free PV as long as you pay the Shipping & 'Processing' fee. Interestingly, the Shipping & Processing fee is disclosed as $6.95. --

So that's what folks are being hit with on the TV here in our area. I can easily see how they are most likely scooping in a bunch of takers on that pitch. A neighbor-friend was extremely excited about this and was terribly eager to convince me he had found something even better than what I already had learned on my own here at ECF.

However...

They don't mention their company name directly on the ad -- but upon calling the 1-800- number... (AND PERSISTING with several very-specific Q's) I got the order-taker to disclose the outfit name & their same-name website.com -- From there you can get a little better picture of their business sca..err... model!

The (inevitable) catch is that in order to take advantage of the "Totally-Free e-Cig" offer.... you HAD to agree to an appended 'trial-purchase' of the prefilled cartridge packs they sell. This was described as a package of 25 carts for something like $39.99 + Shipping & PROCESSING FEE ! -- I couldn't quite get to the point of finding out how much that 2nd S&H fee was supposed to be.

because.....

Not too surprisingly...I found myself abruptly disconnected from the phone-rep. ( Surely that must have been a glitch in the telephone connection and only an unfortunate & untimely co-incidence..)

Thanks everyone for watching my back for me since i obviously can't watch my own lol. I have called smokingeverywhere and they have cancelled my order since they have not shipped it yet and are refunding my shipping fee. Looks like others have done the same.

I'm going to check out the 510 kit from Innovapor and some juice from Totally Wicked. Any testimonials??

I am going to purchase three units, one for me, one for my boyfriend and one for my elderly grandma who smokes a pack a day at the age of 85. I am going to have to help her out until she gets the hang of it.

You guys/gals are all so wonderful and informative.
Thanks a bunch.

I know 5 analogs is no much sometimes its only two a day and other days its more like 8. I hope to get get off nicotine all together someday but for now i'll switch to vaping. You would think it would be easy to quit smoking if i only smoke 5 a day on average but i've tried and i totally freak out. Not a good thing.

I've been smoking since i was 16 and i'm 37 now with a break from it durring pregnancy and nursing. I don't even remember why i started again. It just happened one day and that was it. So, i'm excited about vaping and am going to use the low nicotine juice.
