Have any of you ever considered just politely respecting the wishes of the restaurant and not vaping while you're there? Not everything has to be a power struggle. I don't vape inside places all the time. It's not that hard. I just put the vape in my pocket, and don't take it back out again. Easy peasy. Often, I don't do it even without being asked to stop. Look at me, not vaping right now as I use both hands to type this message! In my own home, even! The other day I went to the grocery store, and I didn't vape in there, too. They didn't even ask me not to, I just didn't do it! Hell, one time, I was even outside and didn't vape for a couple minutes! Imagine that! Weird, right?

Heresy burn the infidel at the stake!!!!!!

Heh... I'm pretty much the same, though I've done a few stealth vapes from time to time -- I don't make a habit of it, mainly because I absolutely abhor getting into urination contests with uptight puritans. I doubt my vapor would harm anyone, but uptight puritans give me a HUGE pain in my I'd-love-to-smack-that-prissy-self-righteous-look-right-off-your-face region. ;)

I agree and believe the same but limiting the places I will and will not go is more control over my life than I am willing to give vaping. I didn't do it for cigarettes and they had a worse hold on me than vaping does for sure.

A local grocery store in my area now has stickers on their front doors that state "no smoking, e-cigs, electronic cigarettes, and vaping allowed in the store for the comfort of other customers". I guess they covered all the bases on that
I like it that it's always about "the comfort of others". How about mine....

Don't forget the safety of the children!:laugh::laugh:

Ya then go in and order and then start to vape and when they say the sign says no E-cigs allowed, politely say this is not an e-cig it is a PV and the sign does not specify no vaping. Then when they tell you that you can't vape, gather your things and say well if I knew that I would never have come in and leave without paying LOL!
    :evil:but

That's the type of smarta** I am! Haha. It's a PV not an Ecig

So why would everyone stop going to a business because they don't want people vaping inside a restaurant? I don't understand that logic one bit. I never go to any business or establishment and just assume it's cool that I vape there... It's a restaurant can't you just wait one hour until your done and go outside? It's spiteful for no reason. I vape constantly but I don't find it necessary to while I'm eating food or inside a business, I can just wait the small amount of time and enjoy it where I want to without worrying about uppity people who don't understand what vapor is, but at the same time I don't expect anyone to be ok with a restaurant being clouded up by vapers.... The people who just walk into places and vape it out are the problem.

You have to war against the system or your not a real vaper, and grow some dreadlocks too while you're at it.

I had made a pithy reply to Reign, in general agreement, but when I hit "post," the brief downtime of the server ate it, so I'm just going to assume that I didn't need to post that anyway. :D Except maybe the last line -- "I just wish restaurants would post 'no perfume allowed' signs."

    I'm spiteful because it's my right. That's why. :)

Not that I would cloud in an establishment anyways.

Now that I can get onboard with, especially the $5.99 a bottle stuff applied with a paint sprayer and mixed with cigarette smoke.

If I walk into a restaurant and I smell perfume instead of food, I turn around and walk out. Iron-clad policy. And if we're already sitting down, but anyone sitting near me is doused in perfume, I get up and leave, right up until the moment the food arrives. The smell of the food right in front of you can often drown it out, but if it doesn't, I just eat a little and ask for a "doggie bag" so I can get the heck outta there and BREATHE.

I get hit with it all the time at the grocery store and makes it impossible to shop cause I don't want to eat anything after choking on that crap. So I wind up buying go to stuff steak and potatoes I know by the time the toxic avenger smell wears off I will eat that.

I'll add my pet peeve and would definitely give this restaurant a ton of business "No screaming babies allowed".

Or "banging" babies. When our son was about 15 months old, he grew fond of banging the hell out of those metal high-chair trays; we had to stop going out to eat till he was 2 when we moved back down here among my family, where we had some handy babysitters. :D Ah, the bliss of a night out together, minus baby.... :D But knowing baby was being coddled and cared for with the greatest tenderness. Truly bliss.

I could handle the "banging baby" its just the shrill that get to me. We were at a Hibachi restaurant and of course the plumes of flames incited a baby riot, I was | | close to ordering the kid a few warm sakes and having it sent over to them. :D

Disclaimer: I would have to say that about "banging baby" since I'm know to slam shot glasses we could get hammered and tear up stuff.

Sadly, I won't visit any establishment that has that sign or a "NO GUNS ALLOWED" sign. Just can't give them my business.

    Not even banks? :pervy:

    ;)

Not to mention Federal office buildings (including but not limited to courthouses and the post office), and bars.
