I picked up a Zenith rda clone yesterday, guy in the shop coiled it up for me. Reads at 0.25 ohms with 24 gauge wire, two coils in parallel. I'm getting half as much flavour as I was from my normal 0.6 ohm build in a different dripper, it's one that came with my overdose clone, not sure exactly what it is. I've tried all the different airflow adjustments but I remember reading somewhere that you can possibly lose flavour with thicker wire? Is it worth just recoiling this myself to around 0.5 ohms?

I've had a go on a friends dripper (dual coil 24 gauge, 0.23 ohms) and that had awesome flavour. I might just recoil it. Is it true that thicker gauge wire can mute flavour because of the heating up time?

I have no idea about this part although common thinking says that thicker wire gives a bigger surface area and therefore more vape (and therefore less flavour). Is your friend's dripper a Zenith too? Vape and flavour production can vary wildly between different drippers. My APO dripper gives good flavour at 0.28 ohms as well as good clouds, but my Stillare gives great clouds but bad flavour at the same resistance.

His was a stillare, 0.23 ohms with 24 gauge and had good flavour. Thinking of recoiling it with 28 gauge at 0.5 ohms. I heard a lot about lower ohms giving great flavour so I brought the Zenith and thought "I'll put a low build in this".
