Sounds like you're there. My boyfriend smokes and once the smell became repulsive to me, I knew I was there. I see people huddled around lighting up and I think, did I look that stupid? I had my windows down today driving home, vaping away, and a chick pulls up next to me at a red light with a cigarette hanging out the window. I put my window up.

That's exactly what I mean. It's the ritual of NOT smoking in different areas that's hard for me to get used to. I used to sit in my "office smoking chair" in the garage to light up. I did a lot of thinking this way, paid bills made calls, paced the floor etc.. Now I don't feel like I need a cig and my body (or rather my brain) is telling me to move around. I suspect it's more energy now because I'm not putting 4000 chemicals into my blood stream. I went and got a year membership to Snap fitness and started walking. I can't believe how great it is to be smoke free. It's effected EVERY area of my life positively. Day 20 and I'm not looking back anymore, it's getting easier and easier!

Ok I need to ask. Is your avitar a pic of you or a child? I'm hoping that is a pic of a child, just sayin.

Congrats! I posted a thread a while ago about how quickly or slowly you should reduce nicotine level in your juices. The consensus was to take it slow, take your time, and if you do, you can feel your body being able to adjust to less and less nicotine.

Good luck to you!

I remember you! This is when I first started, funny thing is I just Upped my level from 15 10 18mg. I was a pack a day smoker but I found I was vaping every 5 seconds to get the level I needed. I just got a bottle of Carmel cream from Virgin Vapor 18mg with a pro tank mini and all I can say is WOW. Ive been missing out. Thank God for the people of ECF. How is your vaping going? Are you analog free?

Thanks for sharing this, I know kinda what you mean. The longer I go without analogs the more the smell gets pungent, it's sicking thinking I spent all those years putting 4000 chem in my body.

86 days ago I had 0 intention of quitting. Bought an ego/stardust combo to see what the fuss was.

84 days ago after an almost full day of only vaping I lit a cigarette simply because I hadn't had one yet that day. A couple drags and I realized I just preferred vaping to smoking. Held onto my pack for a couple more days, but then gave it away. The folks at the convenience store probably think I left town!

I won't lie, there have been a couple of times I had a craving for one, but about 10 minutes of puffing away at a tasty flavor and it's long gone! No regrets!

Currently vaping: 6mg MBV Peach Rings in a Protank2 on an iTaste VV V3. This is so much nicer than burning a Camel! :vapor:

:2c: Wow ! I actually read this whole thread, and it's amazing what you can learn just from the comments other members post !
Just to be complete, I started "vaping" (if you could call it that back then :) ) in 2007, and used to buy those carts that slipped over
the atomizer, 'don't even remember the name of 'em. I also got connected with someone in Houston who was selling Joye products, and
purchased a nice setup from him (gave it all to my cousins son, who supposedly was trying to stop...). I actually quit with these primitive things. Then in 2010 I got around some smokers, and like a robot, asked for one, and we know how the story progresses from there.
Then, later that year, I got on a spending spree, and ordered Greensmoke, Dragon, and White Cloud starter kits. I kept the Greensmoke, and quit again. Yet again, I was at the same cousins house and they were smoking, and I made the fatal mistake again, 'just insane !!
So, it was back to the Marlboros and more expense ! Recently, I found this forum again (I had become a member back in 2010, but didn't take advantage of the advice and resources here). And, I had already purchased a V2 kit (which makes me sick, as I could have bought a Provari for what I blew !), and they were OK, not much better than Greensmokes though. I'm down to buying a pack a week now, and I think when I find some better flavors, I'll be on my way. After reading the 6 part section on vaping and equipment, I agonized over purchasing a ZMAX Rev 2 or an Innokin SVD; well, I found a small shop nearby (well, 15 miles ain't bad), and met someone using an Innokin SVD, and the shop had the ZMAX in stock (for a little more than you see it advertised  ); I looked at both units, and handled them, and decided to go with the Innokin SVD. I spent hours looking through online vendors, as I know some of these "shops" are little more than fly-by-night setups, but I had this forum to help out with this, so I'm now awaiting the SVD.
Regardless, it's good to see that members help each other and really share their stories; I think this helps newer members (and I by no means think I'm any veteran) a great deal, when they find a site where people actually care, and aren't push a product or trying to sell them something. I've been a member of only 2 other forums since 2003, but really wish I'd found this one earlier and actually read the information here and acted on it. But, better late than never !
Good luck and the best to all !!!:toast:

You are right, the same thing is happening to me in exactly the same way. I still think I need a cig, but about half way through I am not enjoying it. I usually put them out before actually finishing one. Down to 2-3 a day. I tried to only vape early on, but my defiant nature convinced my brain I was missing something so I gave in after about 2 weeks.

Indeed, it'll be interesting to see how the FDA regulation thing shakes out. With many folks reporting that they've quit tobacco use altogether because of vaping, how can they possibly say that it's not a "smoking cessation device", or at the very least, a healthier alternative. The proof of the pudding, as they say, is in the eating.

That won't happen until they can make it more expensive than cigarettes, made by BT and taste nasty just like Nocorette products.

Yea no kidding, that's EXACTLY the FDA's MO. It's unreal but it's also the age old argument between some unknown balance between the rich and the poor.

On the other hand at least I feel lucky to be hitting my 30 day mark this Sunday the 18th of Aug. Even if that ends up happening ill just stop vaping and we can move forward into the next venture.
