I have had a hole pack setting on my dest for the last 45 day's un-open. Have been doing fine without smoking not even one. But, I ordered from True Vapor last wensday and they have not even shipped my order of e-liquid out ,so, I mite have to open that pack of cig's and if I do I blame it on TrueVapor for not getting my order of e-liquid out.

Well, even if worst came to worst...

You could make your own tobacco-juice from your own tobacco, and be guaranteed that there is less toxins in your home-made (For yourself only), nic-juice.

Yes, it would contain some of the tar, and some of the other 2000+ chemicals... but it would not contain any of the waxes, urea, formaldehyde, etc... that are on the papers, for flavor and to reduce the speed that the paper burns.

Eg, it could not be any more harmful than smoking a cigar.

Since you only need 1/10th of a cig's worth of tobacco to make a cig equivalent in juice... two cigs would make you a packs worth of your desired intake. That is still 1/10 of the potential harm of smoking, even if you were to ignite it, and add paper-juice to the mix.

There is always snus, which is like uber-mild chew. (Mild because you don't spit, you swallow the tiny bit of juice. It doesn't make you salivate as much as chew.)

Seriously... Look at everything else in the world... E-cigs won't die... At the worst case scenario, they just move underground. (At which point I am sure it will eventually cause harm, being uncontrolled and mixed at the hands of drug-dealers. LOL. Just like marijuana, and alcohol when it was in prohibition.)

The device itself is not illegal, or inherently harmful in any way. It is only the juice-contents, and advertising claims that are under scrutiny. Contents will be disclosed, no matter what, and who actually cares about advertising.

Translation... Politics has no power, just a large bark, and a big bite. As long as cigarettes exist, so will any alternate method of consumption of nicotine. (Ironic that they continue to waste smokers money, keeping the quitting devices in the market. Since cigs deliver only 10% of the poison they store, that leaves 90% available for 1/10th the cost of the actual cig. If they were smart, they would push for this. They are the ones selling the juice. Filters, papers, chemicals are all overhead to them. No-one will get rich selling e-cigs... not long term. It is the juice that is the investment winner. Well, the winner will be the one who comes-out operating under the law, not above it.)

Have no fear... if there is money involved... it will stay available... legal or not... it will never die.

Also note... Snus tins, made by camel-cigs, are great storage for e-cigs, and other treasures. Better than altoid-cans!

Still going strong! Wow you guys have given me all sorts of great info and spirit, this is basically a big lifestyle change for all of us. The third time quitting has been a charm. No matter the stress, I reach for my e-cig naturally, there seems to be a training period and then no analogs=no big deal. Specially with this swine flu thing (its here in NY now, possibly in my area), health has become a priority numero 1 for me and hopefully any other smokers and people in general. Im not sure but smokers may be more suseptible to the flu as the toxins make ones body less able to fight off infections. Thanks again for all the great posts so far and I wish everyone the best out there in these turbulant times :)

Hey, Vapinginmyboots, Check out the post "swine flu" and click on the link about the lab tests and propylene glycol's air purifying effects and how your lungs may actually benefit from vaping PG. Just a note, I smoked for 42 years and put away my tobacco cigs the day my e-cig came and never looked back. I feel so much better that the thought of having to smoke tobacco if my e-cigs quit actually scares me!! Panic!! So, I stocked up on e-cig stuff. Good luck to you. (If you buy some analogs that are terrible, like the orange PallMalls, that helps...yuck!) Karen

I had an extremely high-stress half hour at work earlier and cracked and had a cigarette. Only my second one in 18 days vaping. But I really, really don't feel the least bit bad about it because:

1. The cig was horrible
2. I had no desire for another one and just went back to the vaping after finishing it
3. Even if I do have 1 cigarette every 10 days for the rest of my life I'll consider myself blessed because it sure as hell beats 1 cigarette every 10 minutes. I sincerely hope and expect it won't even be that many as time passes to be honest.
4. Becoming too puritanical about it and proclaiming "NO CIGS EVER!" is just too much pressure and prescription for my personality. I'd rather say, "No more cigs, but if I do fall off the wagon once or twice a month, big deal. I'm not Superman".

Wow I hope the PG helps, I sometimes wonder how ill vape with a mask on if this gets bad lol (maybe a new e-cig peripheral?):D but hopefully this flu will fade out like so many things in the past.

If I fall off the wagon again, Ive decided its not worth going back to analogs again. Ill just pick up my e-cig and return to puffing that. Going back last time did not do anything good for me, only make me feel like puke. All it will do is just reset my little counter that I havnt set up yet on this forum hehe:)

Dont feel bad, I tasted after 2 wks of no analogs, tasted like dirt,
Any how I look at it like this,
1, Patches + Smoking = O.D Sick
2, gum + smoking = no more gum full time smoking
3, Chantix + Smoking = going crazy with alot of side affects or even suicide??????
4, Vap + Smoking = no loss, see the way I look at it I just adjust my vaping or even adding new drops for strong first few hits, but Im not on meds, getting sick, Just hit the analog and move on back to vap, your not failing or going backwords,. you are just learning and adjusting.

P.S why WHY I ASK can the FDA approve a drug like Chantix with side affects or even suicide/thoughts, (i had 4 side affects from it) approve that, but these DUMBA**ES!! have a problem with Vaping??

I just ordered my e-cig and it hasn't come in yet. Before the new tax on cigs went into effect, I ordered 20 lbs of tobacco. Now I have about 17 lbs left, and wondering what I'm going to do with it if the e-cig works out for me.

Stick with it, you will learn to love it one way or another. If I had 17 lbs of tobacco, I would store it in a safe place. If something happens to our dollar (inflation or hyperinflation) it would make a good trade item. It gives good piece of mind, if you got the 20 lbs before the tax increase, even better! .65oz goes for about 4 dollars here, it used to be about 2 dollars if you catch my drift ;).

Yeah, I only paid 11.99 a lb for it, but now the same lb costs about $40. I'll hang on to it for a little while. Am excited to get this new e-cig and hope it gets here by the end of the week.

I was excited when I ordered my njoy about 2 months ago or so, it wasnt long before I was ordering the 801 and 901 model e-cigs because I saw the potential of the idea of e-smoking. I want the Bada Bing! but it is always out of stock :( but cant expect everything I want lol. I was 2 packs a day 10+ yrs or so and didnt have any more interest in quitting after many attempts until I read a news article about e-cigs and boom! I was ordering the 1st thing I saw online the very next day. If you decide to stick with it, just be sure to order (if it fits your budget) spare parts and I would recommend some e-liquid as well. I recommend reading many forum posts if you havnt done so already and give it a shot! That tobacco will be good as gold the way things are going, id recommend storing it in a safe, not so easy to get to place ;) if possible. Who knows, you may not even want to smoke it after some time with vaping.

I am with the keep the tobacco away. Both my atts and batts tend to act up. Currently I enjoy both of them more with direct drip only and no cart in order to get a fuller vap. For that reason after 40 days no analogs today if one had been around I would have smoked it. Not just at that one moment but on several occasions during the morning. No stress, just tired of messing around with my pvs.
