a few days in I wanted a cig, so I hd one. YUUUKKKKK. I m t 5+ weeks & I light one up every few days just to see how awful they are. So my craving ends as soon as I light real cig YUUUKKKK. It really helps if the gear one is using lets the full flavor of the juice come through. Smoking cigs is awful while vaping a good tasty juice is sublime. a smoker asked if his smoking tempted me any. I stated yes....it tempts me to vape.

It took me five months of vaping and smoking together before I had my last cigarette ten months ago.

The cravings for a cigarette happen less often with time. I still get cravings a couple times a week, usually triggered by an event or activity I used to do while smoking or a memory of doing something while smoking. Sometimes seeing or smelling someone smoking will trigger a craving even though I find the smell of any cigarette smoke repulsive now. The craving only lasts a few seconds. A hit on the E-Power 14650 always makes it go away.

This might sound bad but I too had a craving for a real cig about a week after I started vaping. I took a couple puffs and threw it out. It tasted terrible and I didn't like it as much as vaping. Then about 2 months later I had the same urge. I did the same and took a couple puffs and threw it out and went back to vaping. Last June when my grandbaby was born, I was with a smoker and felt the urge. I took a couple puffs and threw it out. Even though it sounds bad that I weakened and had some puffs, I think it cured my curiosity and reiterated in my own mind that I didn't really want a cig after all. I haven't had any more urges at all since last June and probably won't again now that I know that I just don't like cigs anymore :) I think for me I had to reassure myself I wasn't missing out on anything. It will be 2 years for me vaping this coming June! :)

Take your car to a detailer that has an ozone machine - it may take several hours depending on the severity of the odor but it will take it out and to maintain the fresh scent, put some wet cedar chips in a panty hose & place under your seats. For lower cost and if you can let your car sit in the sun/heat... just buy a bag of charcoal (BBQ style), open the bag, roll up the car windows and let it sit for a couple days in direct sun.

Another really good thing that works is put orange peels in your car. It really does work good. Co-workers would refuse to get in my car to go to lunch because it smelled so bad from my smoking. Now the smell is totally gone and even the non-smokers can't tell I ever smoked in my car, although I have been vaping about 1 1/2 years so it's been awhile.

It's just like quitting any addiction, once you quit I don't think it's a good idea to ever try to occasionally do it again. That being said though after about a month in I broke down and smoked and while I still liked the taste okay It just felt awkward and dirty. Haven't smoked since and that was 2 years ago. I still get slight cravings every once in awhile even now but would never even think about smoking again. Try to hold out as long as you can without smoking because the longer you go without the better your chances will be to never want to go back. Good luck.

At almost 6 months and the cravings have not totally disappeared...not sure that they ever will. However, that 2-3 month interval was probably the worst. That's when my taste buds went to war with the voices in my head. Nothing was good or satisfying...but a strong tobacco flavor and higher nic levels helped a little.

I'm at two weeks and a few days... figured the cravings to smoke analogs would be really bad at first, then taper off over the first month. Instead, I've had maybe one minor craving for an analog a week... until yesterday. Since yesterday, I've wanted one like crazy almost all day, even through almost constant vaping. Anyone else have that experience? If so, how long did it last?

I did while using the slim cig-a-like style and switched to an ego type (Volt X2) and haven't craved an analog since. I was trying hard not to go to something bigger (I think it is a female thing) but was desperate not to smoke again (40 yr smoker) so decided to go for it. I used the clearomizers with decent results (some clearos were better than others) just got the bottom coil type a couple of days ago and like it better but it is even bigger. :2cool: I like it even better. almost 8 months without an analog, I am good as long as our government doesn't ruin it for me! Good luck, I hope you are able to hang in there!

I haven't smoked in my car in a week. I have been spraying a new car fragrance every other day. Here in Georgia, though it is winter, it got into the 70's the other day with a clear sky. The sun heating up the interior of the car made the cigarette odor come out. I have heard that slicing a few apples and laying them around will absorb odors. I heard about this many years ago. I have been in the auto repair business for 37 years and someone talked about the apple trick. Baking soda also absorbs odors. Several year ago I made an attempt to quit cold turkey and used the baking soda. It did seem to work by spreading it all over the seats and any other horizontal surfaces. I left it there over night and it seemed to work a little.

We've used probably everything out there. This worked great. Click on the pic to go to their website to find a store.
