I'm sure a lot of you have already seen reviews of the HH .357 atomizer. I won't bore you with too many details. I'm copying and pasting what I wrote on the avidvapor site, as I realize this isn't a place for atomizer reviews. It's only my thoughts as a REO user.

This pertains only to the "Long Barrel" version. I've not tried the shorter version, nor do I see a need for me to, as I'm extremely happy with this version.

Just to preface, I was using mostly cartos on the Reo lately, because it was mess free when putting it in a pocket or bag. All of the atty's I've used before caused at least some leakage, so I had to use the gasket method to avoid staining my shirts with juice that could leak out. While the gasket method did help with attys, I found myself cleaning the "cup" regularly.

Anyways, please take this with a grain of salt. Your mileage may vary, but I was so happy with this atty on the Reo, that I wanted to share my experience. I've run about 10 ml through it so far, plus dripping into it, and I've yet to see a drop of liquid leak out.

Here were my thoughts on it:

Ok, I was a bit skeptical, only because of the price.

The long barrel I received today is fantastic. Really smooth, wick'ing is perfect, no splatter of juice or leakage. The taste is like an 801 LR, but with the ease of use that a 510 brings.

Hands down, this is the best atty I've used, and I've got drawers full of ones I've tried before.

If you want a very hot vape, the long barrel probably won't be for you. I prefer a cooler vape, as that is easier on my throat, and even though this is a 1.5 ohm atty, it's quite cool, and provides tons of flavor.

I'm using a Reo Grand, and bottom fed it from the start, in case anyone is considering how it works for bottom feeders. It's mess free, draws in the juice easily, doesn't flood quickly like many atty's can; the juice stays right where it should. I used 50/50 pg/vg juice, that's on the thick side, probably due to the extra flavoring.

I know Hanna puts a lot of time into making these, so I understand the cost; they're certainly worth it.

Thank you!

I agree with your assessment. I'm LOVING mine. I have a short one, and a long one, and the LONG one is the best (for me.) The short one has a tendency to "spit" hot juice. I've been using them both for about two weeks now, and absolutely love them....especially the long one. Well worth the money. Very warm, smooth, consistent vape.

Hi Bladebarrier - just want to let you know that I have been using my 357 atty for 11 weeks this week, and it is simply outstanding. I have LR510 and 306 attys that are now designated as backups because the 357 has ruined them for me - they cannot compare to the flavor and vapor I am enjoying on the 357!

I will try the i06 when they become available, but after using this 357, I hope it will meet my expectations.

Happy Hallloween, happy vaping, and squonk on!

Heh heh. No worries!

I learned it, so it's not hard at all.

And I'm still happily using my first production run HH .357. I've been using it since September 7th and I haven't killed it yet. Having an 801 native Woodvil at the ready probably has something to do with that, but still... pretty good longevity compared to all the LR 510 attys I've slain prior to getting the HH .357.

:D

Congrats Blade on finding an atomizer that works for you. I've heard some mixed reviews but, I'm still interested in trying them out for myself. Only thing is the price which kills any chance of me trying them. Since I usually like buying atomizers in sets of 2 just in case I kill one of them or one prematurely dies.

Honestly can't see myself spending 40 - 80 (usually get 2 more if I like them) bucks on these atties.

I can tell you they are worth it. My first two came to 51 bucks with shipping and NY sales tax :(

But they do perform like no other so I took a step back and remembered not that long ago when 50 bucks was 6 days worth of smokes ...... Two of these babies is way more fun than 6 days of cigs :)

Gonna order four more in a few days.

They are winning me over for sure. First use was a few hours. Second use was about 8 hours and I lost some flavor but I think it was just flooded. They actually seem to use less juice to me. They take a tiny blind squonk then I get 10-12 hard pulls out of them.

So then I broke out my second one and rotated between two woodvils for a day. Good day.
Next day I went back to my cartos at 6v ..... errr for about 2 hours. Then the HH went back on and its been there for the last three days trouble free. Had to blow one out once because of user error. It seems weird that I get so many hits and it takes some getting used to the sound to know when you need to squonk.

I consider myself trained now and I'm digging them for sure.

That's true, I did spend a whole lot on cigs. Perhaps this wait for the 18490's and another mod I'm thinking about will give me a chance to try these out. That's a lot of hits before another squonk though. Honestly, have never had an atomizer that would last that long. The max hits I would get is 5-6 hits. It would be nice to have one that finally gives me more hits in between squonks.

How would you rate the TH, draw, and warmth that you get from the 357's? I'm not a big fan of overly tight draws that I got from the i06's. Which makes that atomizer a complete fail in my book.

Thanks a lot for your opinion on these atomizers man. I was just under the impression that these don't work to well for REo's since the other thread for these atomizers on here didn't get the best of reviews.

What do you mean by re-learning squonking?

They take a much different technique ..... than I was used to at least :D
IMO you have to blind squonk them ... and very very lightly .... much like my carto technique.

Nothing like my old atty technique of looking for juice to peek out of the base then let up.
