I have been thinking about how vaping makes me feel better about things that worried me before. I used to be concerned about how I would stand to be in the hospital for a few days without cigs. Other things, like long plane flights concerned me, too.

Now, I really fear my charger going out...LOL!!!!

I am still smoking 3-5 analogs per day. I have a pack I opened Saturday night that looks like it has been through a battle. It makes me proud that it is worn looking and still not empty. I am not going to beat myself up over smoking a few, but I have ordered some 24 juice. I only have had 18 juice since starting on Saturday.

If you find mornings difficult, get a totally spare battery so you can leave your cig set up overnight. I actually have a spare battery each for 2 ecigs and leave 2 set up all night, one with an easier to vape juice and one with a stronger juice. When I get up it is right where I vape. I use cartomizers so there is no screwing with anything in the morning - just pick it up and vape. I also find that makes it easier to go to bed. In the evening I set almost everything else up to charge. And very late I put the batteries I have been vaping on to charge and take the spares off the charger. Then I never have to decide "is this my last drag? is this? is this" nor screw with chargers right before I go to bed.

WTG... and congrats on taking the first step.

I started much the same.... I had a few packs left from a carton I bought about a week before I bought my first PV. At first, I just kept a pack with me as usual... Then I started leaving it the car while at work (not on me) but not impossible to get. After the second week vaping, I left them in the medicine cabinet at home, and there they remain.... Its funny and good to hear similar stories here on ECF...

Last week I found a pack in the garage I must have left while working on something weeks ago... I handed that pack to a buddy who stopped by who wanted to bum a cig... It felt amazing to say "Here ya go... just keep the pack, I don't need em"

It will be a month tomorrow for me since I started vaping... and it has been quite the interesting "crash course".
- First week, ordered "test" juices & made a pass-thru
- Second week, ordered more juice, & made another pass-thru for the car
- Third week, made a 18650 battery mod that lasts all day on a single charge

Weird thing is... with all the fool-proof (higher voltage) gadgetry, I still enjoy using the E-cig w/auto battery best...

Preparedness is key!! & spare charger wont cost but 5-7 bucks...
:)

I rolled my own cigs or smoked the RYO tobacco in a pipe. When I ran out I drove everyone nuts till I got more. I could not go 5 minutes without thinking about getting more. It was all consuming. Today marks 2 weeks vaping. The first few days I smoked a little but each day while I vaped till my tobacco pouch ran dry then went straight vape from there. About the end of the week I was amazed to find myself not even thinking about tobacco. A week later I can't believe I quit those things I "Had To Have" for the past 22 years. I cannot believe how easy it was to quit with e-cigs when nothing else worked. I am starting to be able to taste the e-cig flavors now as well as foods I only thought I was tasting.

Keep with it, I believe you will get to a point where you realize you just don't want a cigarette and choose the vape instead. Now if someone offered me a cig, I could turn it down without hesitation.

Besides.. vaping Is Too Cool. I love the products the variety of juices and mods to choose from, the community, the videos and live video shows that are around.. vaping has made 'smoking' Fun again. Cigarettes have none of that. I feel like I didn't just quit smoking, I gained a new fun hobby and a caring bunch of friends to share it with.

It's such a good feeling isn't it? I must admit, since I went up to 18mg, I have had a few analogs, but not as many as when I was only on 12mg. And when I have had a craving for an analog and not had any in the house, I have just shrugged and taken a few long, deep hits of my e-cig, and the thought of analogs just goes away.

It is just amazing for me. I don't know how to describe the freedom I feel. I can have an analog if I want, but I know that I won't go overboard. It is 10PM and I have only had 2 today. That is the lowest and best day I have had so far. This has all been without pain for me. It feels too good to be true.

I really, really want to thank everyone here. You are all so kind and so helpful. It it weren't for you I wouldn't have 8 days of vaping with less cigarettes smoked in that 8 days than I usually smoked in one day.

I am not pushing myself to completely stop the analogs. I have never done well with thinking I can never have another cigarette. It is best for me to just know I can have one anytime I want.

I don't have any juices I can't use. Sometimes, I want one that tastes like a cigarette and sometimes I don't.

Before I quit cigarettes a few years ago, I always smoked Marlboro Light 100's. When I started back I smoked whatever was the cheapest. That may have actually helped me to not expect a certain flavor in a juice.

It really is a great feeling, I started with high nicotine, enough to get a nice buzz going after 5 hits, I have no idea how high the nicotine was (36mg?), but it was some unlabeled liquid a friend used. I have since moved to 12mg because I vape alot, and figured my nicotine levels would be sky high if I didn't lower it. I like it here, I still get to "smoke" and I still get my nicotine. However, there are a few days I wish I had a higher mg liquid for those super stressful days.

This is really great group therapy! I've done and felt almost the exact same things as many of you have while coming down off my own addiction to tobacco. At one time, I could not imagine leaving the house without at least a full pack and TWO lighters (I've had them fail on me) - its hard finding someone to bum a light from these days. For so many years, as my pack of cigs got down to the last 5 or 6, I would spend almost every minute thinking about where I could find a place to buy another pack or two. I used to make excuses about going to the gas station to fill up the car at 10:00 pm at night when all I really wanted was a pack of cigs. Then there was the day when I vaped more than I smoked. Then, the first day I only had two analogs ALL day and vaped the rest of the time. Then the BIG day - I completely replaced smoking with vaping and I've been that way ever since. I still have two dried up Winstons in beat up pack in my briefcase. I'm also someone who likes to feel that I could smoke an analog if I wanted to...I just don't want or need to anymore! Vaping has helped me to quit with almost no withdrawl problems at all. Now, I'm reducing my nicotine from 24 to 16 - still no problems. Still heading down with that and ultimately want to end up at 0 mg nic.

:toast: SO Here's to us all!
