I'm not a "purist" but sure you're really missed what is genesis for. You can do that without mesh , so you have same results. Try oxidizing the mesh wick with more patience and you'll get all the genesis offer .

No idea what you mean but heh!

(I own 7 Genesis and none has silica in them,most are Uwicked,but heh,again!)
