First off, I would like to dispel any rumors about credit card information compromised through shopping on my site rawrvapor.com. When the first posting on reddit was brought to my attention, rather than the customer actually coming to me to tell me they were having an issue, I had my webmaster check and double check everything, run every scan and test to ensure that the issue was not on our end. I can assure my customers that we are still secure and shopping with us is as safe as it has always been. The first person to post about having issue with security subsequently found they had a keylogger virus on their machine and the second person who had security issue also shopped with AVE the same day who have subsequently closed their site to fix security issues they have been having. I applaud AVE for this and hope that they are back up and running as soon as possible so they can return to business as usual and continue serving their customers in the same stellar way they always have. I hope that people can return to feeling secure and safe shopping with us at rawrvapor.com again and likewise over at avejuice.com as well.
Secondly, something we have been trying to avoid but preparing for should it be needed is a small matter of a name change for our site and company. A couple of months ago we were contacted by a tobacco company claiming copyright infringement of our name to theirs and their products. While they do not make an actual product that is "rawr", their company name is legally considered close enough to ours that it is a problem and forces us into a situation of either change our name or fight them on it to the tune of a great deal of money and time with no guarantee of winning and the possibility of not being able to trade while we do so. RawrVapor is my baby, the name is something very near and dear to me, a witty and playful name I have used almost like a catch-prase in my own life since way before I even vaped let alone started my company so it is with serious resistance and a sadness to let it go that we will be changing the company name to RoarVapor.com This transition will begin over this weekend and rather than let it hinder us, we are going to strive even harder to succeed and do better than ever! With new name and all protection on it that we did not have with rawr, we are going to be bigger and better than before and will be expanding more, plans for B&M stores and more new things coming very soon!
I thank everyone for their patience and understanding over the transition period and rest assured, outside of this new name, nothing else will be changing, the same rawrvapor.com url will take you to the new one for a while before that address needs to be given up so all of ours customers will have the chance to adjust their favorites in their browsers and stuff, see the new business cards and labels on their juice bottles. The site will be going down Sunday morning and hopefully back up Tuesday. If you get an order in before we shut it down, it will be processed as normal. We will be at VapeBash in Chicago next month under the new name so look for us there, gonna be tons of fun!
