No taste...

Maybe I'm losing my mind or all the years of scorching my tastebuds have finally caught up with me, but I can't seem to taste the flavor in any of my cartos today. I've opened up new premiums and new "regular" cartos, everything from 555 to Smilin' Menthol and can't taste anything after the first drag. This is definitely a new experience. Has anyone had this kind of "overnight" transformation before? I've nearly drowned myself with water and even thought a nice vodka tonic might help clear things up, but so far, no love at all.

Then again, some people would tell you I've never had any taste at all.

Just the other day it happened to me also. Every carto I picked up was like it was empty but yet I had just filled them. Sure enough the next day the flavor was back and I could taste once again. It's a very weird sensation and makes it really difficult to get that satisfyed feeling.

if you have other flavors try switching around and remember to hydrate! You loose a lot of the flavors when you're dry.

I have experience that as well, I also have times when I taste flavors but they taste different then they did the day before.

yea i get that way once a week just switch up the flavors it up it i'll come back

Yup. Happened to me a few days ago for the first time. I kept switching flavors and if I detected anything at all, either it was really weak or bad tasting. I kept taking the cartos off and throwing them into my 'clean and refill' jar until I realized that I had tossed 15 of them in there!

After hearing all the tastebud flip flop stories, I thought I'd give them a shot the next day. Emptied out the jar and started testing, and guess what? They were all delicious again!

Also, I was excited about peanut butter cup but when I got it, it had a very distinct dirt taste to it. Needless to say, I didn't like it. I put them aside and forgot about them for a few weeks, but thought about them again with the dramatic taste bud change. I put one on, and I like it now! To me, it tastes like peanuts, not really peanut butter, and I don't taste the chocolate, but the peanut flavor is really good, so I'm a happy camper. Besides, it will probably change again next week anyway!

Yes, it happened to me with my beloved Cappucino juice. Couldn't taste a thing! Then later on, all was normal. I don't like it when weird things happen to me. LOL

I went thru the same thing when I first started vaping. I had to add Lorann's to all my flavors! Then I realized I didn't need it anymore. Also I was vaping 4 or 5 flavors a day..I cut back to two and that helped, Flavor overload!

Well, I haven't actually had the no taste at all situation, but I have had the everything taste the same situation. I think it has something to do with our taste coming back. However, the premium cartos seem to end on a vg oily type taste note for me. Has anyone else expirenced that too?

Flavor overload? My taste change depending on the time of day, so for me it is normal to vape at least 4-5 flavors per day without a problem. I never heard of a flavor overload and I believe that it is subjective. I think everyone is different and that trying to stick to two flavors is an individual choice. My thought is to always see what works for you as a unique individual. It's trial and error, what works for me doesn't work for my husband. So, flavor overload may be an issue for some but, that is not my expirence. However, MaryKay is correct. It maybe an issue for some vapers... Enough said.

(wish I would have found earlier ~ I recently tossed out 7 bottles of 3 ml juice I didn't like ~ also wish I would have found the trade forum before I tossed em!....Live and learn)

Happened to me at the worst time - mid vacation and nothing tasted right... and I had all my cartos and juice with me since I wanted to give my hostess a chance to try things before she makes her first order (I set her up pretty decent with a start up kit and juice, but still....)

Bought a pack of analogs. Hopefully, everything will be back to tasting great for the long drive home

Yeah, I get that way sometimes too. Even my beloved Watermelon sometimes doesn't taste of anything but PG. I had an extra bottle of 4mg Watermelon made for me to vape at night before bed, and when I first tried filling a carto with it, I thought they had given me a bad batch, because I couldn't taste it at all. But I tried again a couple days later and mmm-mmm-mmmmmmmmm.

Coupla sips of Coca Cola does it for me, too.
