No throat hit, what am I doing wrong???

I am a newbie. I've only been vaping a couple of months but I'm already addicted. I have watched so many videos and read everything I can get my hands on (by the way I have to throw PBusardo a shout out and thank him for all he has done) My question to you guys is "why can I not get a throat hit off flavored juice?" I've tried steeping. I've tried different nicotine levels. I've tried different PG/VG mixes. I've tried low resistance. I've tried raising my voltage. I just can't seem to get any throat hit off anything that doesn't have some kind of menthol in it. I'm feeling really frustrated. My first juice was tobacco menthol because that's what I smoked, and I like it. However I really would like to venture out into the world of flavor. Please help!

Welcome , and it might be due to technique . I can get a bit of TH with almost any juice I try . And the fact that I'm at zero nic . makes it even more difficult . Try doing a multible draw . Take a hit and then kind of take two or three more hits , before you deeply inhale . Kind of difficult to explain . I mostly only use DIY juices these days , but I do find that it's a lot easier to get if your using at least 12mg. of nic. In fact 12mg. tastes very harsh to me .

miyagi - I tried the ce6 clearomizer, I think it was 2.8 ohms, with my ego. That was my first set up. I wasn't happy with the TH. I started doing more research and got an evic with a vivi nova and found I liked the higher voltage hits better. But the evic only goes up to 5v. I'm learning about the resistance levels and trying different things. I am using the smoketech DCT on my evic now and like it better, it's just not as easy to fill up. I've also tried my vivi nova and DCT on my husbands VAMO and I like that too. But still not happy with my TH's. My favorite so far has been the boge 510 2.0 ohm cartomizer on my ego, love the flavor and TH but it's so small and only lasts a little while. And juices, I've tried different PG/VG mixes at different nicotine levels but I've only gone up to 12mg. I may need higher to get what I want but I kinda didn't want to have to do that.

Renzuli - your probably right it probably is my technique. I'm not getting much vapor either, nothing like what I'm seeing in the videos I've watched. I just had a friend show me his PV and thought it was a really cool idea and took it from there. I've never really vaped with anyone who knew what they were doing. I'll try what you are saying and see if I can get it.

Thanks guys, I'm not giving up! VAPE ON!

I highlighed your problem for you. The average nic level used based on polls is 16mg - 24mg. Up your nicotine level to 18mg - 24mg and your throat hit problem will disappear. It's just that simple. No need to turn somersalts and double/triple, upside down inhale to get good TH.

You are the BIG exception. 6mg - 12mg is mild TH at best, for most.

That's why I said "I could ever want" lol

I know what you mean though. When I was 24 or even at 18 it was way more noticeable. I tend to chain vape when I'm not working so 18-24mg is almost too much nic for me. If I want more TH I honestly just get out a higher PG mix. Even at 12mg with 70/30 the TH is good for me.

When I started vaping a few months ago I had no idea there were so many variables. I also didn't realize until I started trying different things how much of an impact changing one variable could change the whole experience.
