I love the "you are beautiful" campaign Lisa. Someone spray painted it on an overpass here- strangely, it felt really good to see it as you drove by.

Oh my, I'm so out of touch! Started having computer problems last weekend. I got a new computer (my first laptop!) Sunday. Since then I've been trying to get used to using a laptop, Windows 7, and Office 2010. My head is spinning!

Just wanted to say that all of you who are dealing with health issues and wildfires have my prayers!

I haven't been on the forums as much as I'd like here lately. I've been busy at work and just exhausted (but in a really good, satisfied way) when I get home. I'm now officially on a 10 day, much needed stay-cation and loving it!

I downloaded Ubuntu yesterday and played with it for a while. Now I'm think about installing it as a dual boot on my Windows 7 desktop. ***SQUEE!!!***

I've been very happy with my manager at work. He's been working with me one-on-one and has been arranging for me to sit with people in other departments so I can learn more about how things work in our company. He asked me the other day why I was in Client Support when I have a degree in IT with a database specialty. I told him it was because I hadn't finished my degree when I was hired and now I just feel kinda stuck. He's doing everything he can to "unstick" me and help me progress professionally. I feel like I FINALLY have someone on my side who is genuinely concerned about my job satisfaction and making sure that I get the training I deserve! ***SQUEE #2!!!***

However I'm going to KILL my ex. My kids BOTH have lice. I've never dealt with this before. I've never had it before (I'm sure I do now though). It came from my ex's house. He told me it was gone. ARGH. SOOOOO angry.

Yes....it is powerful: it saved my life once when I was far from a hospital. However, it's not something to mess around with and I understand it's not good to be taking it for more than a brief period!

WOH, if I wasn't a Mac user I'd be looking into Ubuntu. Not only is it a no-nonsense operating system, I like the way it's been developed and the lack of commercialism behind it. I have a couple of friends that use it. And I think it's wonderful that someone is noticing what you're doing at work. That's a good boss.

classwife, this is really good news. I'm so happy. Now, when the time is right, you can ask them to please let you know when something's happening!

on the bright side I calmed down, did some research and its a lot easier than I thought to take care of as far as I'm concerned, lots of natural treatment that can be used to get rid of anything that may have fallen off, since they can't live away from the person after 48 hours, biggest thing is cleaning the heads and the bedding/stuffies. Poor kiddos so sad to not have their stuffies for 4 days.

Oh rain ! You poor thing ! I got put on prednisone once for a month....for me it was marvelous ! I felt glorious ! Fantastic ! I knew this was the way God wanted me to feel ! I cleaned house from top to bottom. I finished all the unfinished projects. I got stuck on the freeway for 3 hours behind a jackknifed semi truck...and was fine- I had cigarettes, jolly ranchers and the oldies station on the radio ! La lalalala !!

THEY WOULD NOT LET ME STAY ON IT THO .............LOL !!!

the downside.....if it wasn't nailed down.....I ate it ! I was constantly ravenous !

My sister .... well, she turned into a witch when she was on it !
