does it help wrinkles too?

not sure I'd be willing to try it even so, but I'm closer to considering it than ever. I just turned 49, and think i look pretty much my age. But yesterday at the grocery store the clerk asked me if i was eligible for the senior discount  I do have grey hair and she was pretty young, so i didn't kill her. but....still!!!

Good morning everyone waving smiley-1.gif It sounds like the new year is starting out on a positive note for most. I didn't even think of (sorry Classy) black-eyed peas for New Years. When I was growing up the neighbors always had a Mexican fiesta and Menudo at midnight. Are refried beans close?

You become a guru when you have 10,000 plus post.

Oh! I don't think guru is in the cards for me. I need to spend less time on the computer, not more. And too often by the time I catch up reading, I forget what I want to post. :p

Kezy, congrats on your blog! Where do you find the time for "extras"?!

I have a friend who is 70 and has done the face peel now and then for the last 10 years or so. She looks darn good for 70 which has me thinking about it. She did the medium strength this last time which took four days to go from red to peeling to normal. I can't decide whether that doesn't sound bad or....scary.

Hi Cisme, I don't think I've met you either. Happy New Year to you also!!!

Hi EmmaJo, nice to meet you, too. I'm fairly new to TWR, post erratically and am always behind. Cheers to twenty twelve!

I think I'd like to do the peel thing....

Yep, just right now I spend all my fun money on vaping stuff. Maybe I should start a scary fund?

The one I did "minimizes fine lines" - translation, not really - I'm not expecting it to. It was a lactic acid peel. I read up on this quite a bit. Not only are there many different types of acid peels, the depth of the results depends on the percentage and type of acid.

My mother-in-law was extremely wrinkled; prematurely so. She had a serious peel done back in the 90's with a phenol-based solution; heavy duty stuff. It was downright scary, took months to return to normal. Once it was healed it was amazing. I just don't see myself doing something that extreme! On the other hand, there are a lot more options out there now, from the type I did (only affect epidermis, so little if any affect on wrinkles, similar effect to epidermibrasion, I'm told) to ones that go down to the dermis (helps wrinkles). I think if you were considering getting a deeper one I'd go to a doctor's office, not one of these "med-spa" places.

My skin feels a little tight today but the pink is gone and I have virtually no visible pores on my nose.

That's awful Fudgey. I hope your friend finds something better. I wish that people who shouldn't be bosses didn't get to be bosses. :glare:

Thanks for the info Lisa- I'm glad the peel that you did is working out so well. I can't see myself going for the deeper peel. ouch, ick. I think I'll keep the wrinkles.
