Ahh what a day! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and my water heater decided to spring a leak! I Hate Mondays. Oh, and the disc with all my wedding photos on it is unreadable. Was up all night trying to get my wedding pics uploaded to a new secure file site only to find out the disc was ruined. Can't find a family member with a copy either. How great is that? Things just seem to be piling up around here.

Oh and the cost of a new water heater? over 300 bucks.

I hear ya,My Dads water heater died over the weekend and I have to figure out a way to get him a new one. He is 80 and has a bad heart so cold showers are not an option. I dont know how Im going to do it,but I am. My oldest son got arrested on Saturday,no idea why. He is killing me. My heart breaks. Hubs had friends over for a cookout on sunday and everytime he walked away his freaky friends would talk kinda sexually to me like they were hitting on me,A couple mind you!!! They are lucky I didnt wack them. People are so screwed up. Im so over it.WHAT A NIGHTMARE OF A WEEKEND!!

But its over and I will fix the issues and get rid of the freaky friends. Thats what ya do! Survive.

Oh keyz when it rains it pours right? For now we are waiting to see if DH father has that backup water heater for his boat. He thinks it will work in the trailer. Anyways capped off the pipes and no more leak so water is on, but looks like no hot water for a while. And i agree, what else ia there to do but push on and survive?

I co-habit peacefully with a nice old ghost (a soldier from world war 1.)....in a house from the 18th. century....
well...in the beginning it was a bit frightening....he did make a lot of mischief...but then I gave him his very own room....and since then ...everythings fine:)....I have gotten used to lights switching on at will....and the e-kettle heating up several times a day.....I guess we all have a bit of trouble with hot water

Mornin Everybody!

Wow, and I thot I had probs!! Mercury must be retrograde! lol (supposedly causes all kinds of problems, particularly mechanical etc) I can relate to all of these, believe it or not. Water heater hasn't quit yet, but it's at it's life expect. -- 10 years, so we've started budgeting for it. Seri, you must be heartbroken -- I lost a bunch of pics on my last computer when it fried. Hope you'll try professional restoration -- you never know. And Keyzy, Hubby's son's been in prison for a number of years now over a bunch of drug charges and tickets he kept avoiding till they got fed up with him -- don't know when we'll see him again -- plus our beloved niece who's like a daughter is probly going BACK to jail -- fell off the wagon after 4-1/2 years sober from drugs! And your Hub's friends!?!? Well, I know what I'D do, but maybe you don't own a gun! lol

Everybody, just hang in there -- my experience is that life is all ups and downs and the ups will come around again.

Oh, MRI fine, but won't hear results for several days. I don't mind them at all -- almost went to sleep (they provide ear plugs), just eager to find out what's going on in there and get it fixed!

Have a good 'un, y'all!! (That's Texas for have a nice day.)

The creepy friends are OUT! not my cup of tea,Im no snob but I expect a certain amount of class from people,LOL! At least an effort. (((Hugs for everyone))) Oh and I wouldnt mind a coffee making ghost that behaves!

Keep forgettin to tell ya, CES, your baby on the far left is almost a twin for one of ours except with shorter, smoother hair. Niki is known to be shepherd mix, but we're sure at least part of the mix is Husky. My son had a Husky for years and her fur is JUST like his. Didn't you say your's had a soft undercoat you thot might be Husky?

So sorry to hear about all the problems many of you are having!!! Big hugs to all of you!

Apparently the sewer in our neck of the woods is in need of digging up and replacing. Right now someone is hand digging around our cable line. I need cable to work! So if I disappear for a while (was told yesterday it could take 2 weeks or more to do all the work, they're replacing 290 feet of sewer line), you'll know they cut the cable line!
