((((Seri)))) I hope you can get the pipes fixed quickly! Being without running water just isn't ok.

So glad to hear that your ACL isn't torn Funny! Did they schedule your surgery? (is it safe to assume that if the doc says not to push through pain, you'll take it extra easy since you don't actually feel much pain? ;) )

:) thats great news funnyf. being in good health, and able to move freely is something we take for granted, and do not appreciate enough untill we dont have it anymore:)
Been a while since I have had problems with joints and ligaments....due to handling horses and heavy machinery :) but I did have my knee trampled by a horse once...so I feel your pain....and joy... when it goes away
However ...it is important that you dont overdo your training...and rest the knee when you feel pain:)
Best Wishes and vape on :vapor:.

Hiya, CES! Wondered where you were this a.m. Actually, I'm normally a TERRIBLE patient and don't behave, but in this case I will. Certain body parts I take more seriously, like knees, cause it's just real hard to do without em! Eyes are another one...you get my drift!

And I agree, water is a BIG deal! Living in Houston years ago, there were times we went DAYS without electricty due to storms and that just isn't that big a deal to me, but when my water's off, the "stuff" hits the fan!! lol I'm truly grateful we're able to repair our own plumbing and not hafta wait!

I'm with you on being better able to tolerate loss of power than loss of water. Being able to repair your own plumbing is a good thing!!! I'd like to be more handy than I am...as it is, i just have to hope that big things don't go worng.

(the beasties didn't drag me out of bed quite so early this morning- sometimes they let me hot the snooze alarm a couple of times  )

I relate! I wake VERY early and like it, but DH LOVES to sleep in since he retired and I have to bring the dogs out with me or they wake him up early!

I'm gonna duck outa here -- go feed and love on my horse for the first time in 3 weeks, just cause I can! Letting DH sleep for the first time, too, while I feed all the critters!

See y'all in a while!

Oh, man, Seri! That sucks! Wish we didn't live so far apart -- hubby and I both do plumbing! Are your pipes in a slab or in the walls? If the access is easy and it's pvc (plastic pipe) it is SO easy to fix! If you can make that jewelry, you can repair pvc and they have how-to videos on hgtv.com, diynetwork.com and probly the Lowe's and Home Depot sites. If it's copper, that's actually not hard, but a little trickier, but I learned how from videos. I realize I'm a lot handier than most (I can do almost anything I see done, just slower), but it really isn't hard. Either way, I'm sending out good vibes to the universe!

Oh i can repair it in 10 mins if i had the parts. My dad insisted i learn how to fix anything and everything i could possibly own. Its the cash to buy the parts thats keeping it busted. DH still hasent gotten his unemployment benefits due to a zip code screw up at the EDD office so another week to wait on that.

Good news though! We have hit the poorest of poor and the state gave us health insurance. Its been 9 years since i had health insurance!

Hiya, Ego! Thanks for the good thots -- I'm redirecting them to Seri, cause she's the one with current financial woes! Seri, glad to hear you can take care of it once that check comes in! Don't you HATE having to depend on the gov?!? It's great being able to do that stuff on your on, isn't it?

jj, LOVE the nails!

Keep forgetting ladies: Did the "DH" originate here or has it been around? Since I'm a computer dinosaur and have never chatted or texted or such, I figure it either started here or came from something like that. Anyway, I think it's the best! Soooooo all-purpose -- Dear Hubby, Darling Hubby, Danged Hubby -- not wishing to offend those who don't like "street language" or break forum rules I won't continue, but I'm sure you all get my drift! ;)
