Good morning all The sun has deserted my part of the country, leaving us to fog and high clouds (and about a 10 - 15 degree drop in temperature) I had to put on a sweatshirt jacket this morning in the house - didn't want to turn the heater on yet! Hopefully the sun will burn through the fog by midday today.

Thanks... yall save me all the time... just so sad I get so emotional over stupid things... too much a control freak over things I have no control over lol lol ... not a win situation... Then you feel completely silly when everything that seemed so bad/hopeless , turned out ok anyway... Geesh... I need better coping skills... Note to self I need less wimpy sensitivity and more balls to the wall defiance against all odds.. who's with me.... for a spoon full of pazzaz

I hear silence for a few seconds, and then "Is this Cindy from ECF ?"
Stunned - I said "yes...who is this ?"
"Mary"
"Mary ?"
"Mary Kay !!"
"Well !! How are you !?!?! Did Steve give you my work number ?"
"No, I googled for (this type of company) and just called - I recognized your voice !"
How's that for a wild coincidence !?!?!?!!!

Hi, Ladies. Just came across this thread and haven't had time to catch up on all that was said but will try soon. Should be some real interesting reading Wanted to throw in a hello so I could find it again and be subscribed! Thanks! BTW, anyone want to adopt my 26 yr old son? lol. He's mad at me right now but that's okay. Every week he needs me to do something for him and he needs to grow up so I decided to start telling him no and make him do things for himself. Like last week he wanted me to figure out a free email address for him to use. He isn't real computer savvy. lol. This week he wanted me to check into cheaper car insurance for him and help him renew his car registration. I told him to ask his friends who they use for cheap insurance in his area or stop in somewhere near his house and ask them for their cheapest insurance. sheesh. Now tonight he calls and says he got his insurance but forgot his email password I set up for him and they were emailing him the policy info. I told him hey, remember the password is your daughter's name?! duh...Then he asked me to renew his registration. I told him he would have to go to a tag agency nearby and give them his proof of insurance. He's mad. LOL. My God, at his age I had supported myself for years and had bought a house and never had my parents handle my stuff like that. I really worry about the future of our country with this generation. <shaking head in amazement> Okay, enough venting. lol.

My 16-year old nephew was driving to school yesterday and the steering of the car he was driving locked up (he and his brother were really lucky-no one was hurt) but this is how they got the car down from the utility pole guy wires where it ended up...

Thanks for the warm welcomes my son sent me a text late last night and apologized for being in such a bad mood. I know times are rough and helping our kids some financially is sort of the norm, which I don't mind doing when I can. It's all the grunt work I'm kind of over with. Lol. And he's lived with me off and on also, which is fine although I hope it's not necessary any time soon. Lol. He just gets so stressed out over some things and don't like to deal with it, even when he sometimes has four days straight of no work and alot more time to deal with stuff than I do working alot of hours. I had told him when he was going to be off to take care of his registration and insurance,and that i would help if he fell short with the cost of it, and lo and behold he waits until 2 days before his birthday and expects me to jump. Of course you're going to help out when you can. but you're going to have to learn to set boundaries and say "no" about some things and he's gonna have to learn to take care of stuff himself . Especially if he has the time to do it and you don't. He won't learn to pay attention and take responsibility if he knows he doesn't have to
I know that i ignore the stuff that i can count on other people to do- and that's a good thing, cause i can't do everything by myself. The trick is in finding a balance between doing everything yourself, and doing nothing yourself.

CES, I've never seen a vehicle get stuck like that before! How fortunate they were and I'm glad there were no injuries.

Welcome MiamiMom! I can so relate to the kids handing off their things for "mom" to do that they should take care of themselves. I have 2 grown girls, one married with 2 kids but every time my phone rings I wonder what else I have to do . . . It would be nice to get one phone call that didn't involve me doing something that she should take care of herself. I will say though, she works a lot of hours, tends house and 4 kids and doesn't have time for anything but at some point should be able to take care of her own business. Rant over . . .
