Hi gjr1228,
I see you also posted something about this to MyVaporStore, but claimed it was a non issue now. I might be able to give a little info though.
It is likely that your other more-vapor cartos were using a
juice that had more VG, and these no-vapor ones are using all PG in their juice that they prefill the carto with. This would also explain the dry throat. Many here find PG to be drying and have also had worse issues with it, and so prefer either more VG, or VG-only juices.
I am assuming these are what you got:
KR808D1- 5 Pack Cartomizer
They do not say what is the base for the juice, and this almost always means PG only. You can always add your own juices to cartos, just drip on to the center hole of the thread end until the juice does not suck into the carto, or if the tips are soft they can be pried off with a paperclip and juice dripped onto the filler until it does not soak in. Of course if they are filled already this is a problem, but one can clean them by taking the tip off and soaking them for a few hours in PGA or vodka, rinsing them with warm water, and drying them for an hour at 200 degrees in a oven or toaster oven. And then add your own juice.
Another issue might be that they are higher resistance than the V2 cartos, and so will vape weaker. Like attys and cartos for 510s, there is a range of resistances of the heating element, with the lower resistances being a stronger vape.
Many here start out with prefilled carts or cartos just to try a range of flavors and strengths. But then it is common to get one's own juices, or even make their own, and fill cartos themselves. That way you know what's in them more, and can tailor things to your own preferences. Its a good idea when buying blank cartos, if you choose to do this, to know what the resistance is. For example:
https://www.vaporsetc.com/vapordefa...Blank Black Tru-KR808D-1 Cartomizers 2.4 ohms
The original kr8 cartos are about 3.3 ohms. 2.4 ohms will be hotter and produce more vapor. However, they will use up the battery faster, too, so there is a trade off.
