I understand what it was designed for... AL-AL / AL-CU connections. I've been using it for years on antenna connections (Ham/CB)

Just wanted first hand observations from those who have used it on brass...

Thanks for the link!

Sounds like you and I have similar backgrounds. I was a Xerox Tech Rep for 36 years on high end electronic printers (180 page per minute color and monochrome). We used Noalox, Nyogel, De-Oxit Gold, and other chemicals for protection against oxidation. It's all good when used where intended.

I was into CB and SWL decades ago. Then, the internet came along and it was all available from a keyboard!

10-4 Dave,

I joke with the whole "High Tech Redneck" thing but it fits me quite well actually ;)

I worked for years in DOD software systems after my stint in the USAF in the early 70's...then took a couple years off and ski bummed in Aspen...came back to the east coast, got married, had kids, worked another stint for DOD... I do play around with CB's and Amplifiers some (I have a 800 watt base station). Still do software and build PC's for fun and frolic but I do more server admin for a couple servers I own than anything else as far as employment goes.

But living out in a cabin on a lake with my wife, kids and dogs I love my country living.

So...I skipped the Noalox and went with CRC's electrical lube...(it's mineral oil in a spray can)

Hit all the threads on my new Hcigar Brass Stingray clone with a couple drops and also dripped a drop or two in the sides of the magnet assembly and popped in a fresh VTC5 and screwed in my RSBT and fired it up.

Most excellent!
