Oh, I ordered a goose-........ green REO, and now I'm funny. :p

totally razzin' ya, CM

Let me add some detail . . . . During the whole time I was having issues with flat button-tops and subΩ, I was using OxGard. When I got a new REO, and new AWs, the Noalox came with the mod. Everything peachy. This week, I said ... and reached for the Ox-Gard cause it was at hand. Did 2 mods with it. Both are having issues regularly! Am now in the phase of "back to Noalox" . . .. too soon to report.

The two products definitely have different consistencies. And the OxGard seems to want to separate more readily (yellow clear "carrier" liquid/suspender and grey ....).

Goose ........? Let me tell you somethin' about geese mister...we have geese...giant attack geese...and they're on their way over...right...now...

If you survive I'm wondering if maybe the OxGard needs to be mixed up a bit. Has it been sitting around a long time? How old is it? I've used similar stuff on my model airplanes and some of it has a tendency to separate. I'd just squirt some onto a piece of cardboard and mix it with a toothpick to see if that makes a difference.

Just razzin' ya Dibster... (Though, it probably COULD use more bacon in it....) All I'd ever heard was to use Noalox... wasn't even really aware of the other stuff... and it looks as if woulda been for the best too. Personally, I plan to stick to the Noalox myself, kinda on the mentality of "Its what Rob sends and he makes awesome gear, so I'll take his word on what to use on the REO".

I am glad though that we have trailblaizers such as yourself to poke and prod and try the new stuff Dibs. Without you, SuperX and some others, I never probably woulda come over to REOville....

:) . . . . . . .

the reason I had the OxGard is cause I can't find Noalox at the "big box" hardware stores, nor the mom'n'pops(ses). Not trying new stuff, just buying what was available.

Around here in the big box hhardware stores, Noalox is in the electrical section by the wing nuts, tie wraps, wire pulling accessories, etc. Usually on the bottom shelf in small boxes, made by Ideal. Or you could just place the order online for pick up & they'll have it ready for you at the front counter. Unless that is for some reason they don't carry it in your area. To be sure, go online & check stock for the stores near you. Heck I could have sent you all of mine in the package had I known you needed it.
